Arena Season 13 Rush

I just read the thread about the arena rush week, there is only a 50% increase in rating, its kinda bad dont you think? I mean... there is really nothing to be worry just cruise control and keep doing whatever everyone was doing and without worries or strategy.

It doesnt require more participating to avoid decay, you dont lose rating uppon losing so there is no need to think about dodging as in a strategical move to risking the fact that you could decay more rating if you dont participate enough.

I am a little sour and tired and english is not cooperating with me so i just wanted to tell you how disappointed i am about this whole arena format and "final lap".

Hoping you think about it a little more for the next one.

All that we can really glean from that is that you are disappointed.

Try to do the following:
-Identify the states within the current system that you do not like.
-Identify the preferred states.
-Make a suggestion as to how the preferred states can be achieved.

Then try to avoid punctuating it with a veiled insult about the lack of thought that went into the current system, and you might have a post that could spark a game change.

I do not like the way the rating system works.

-Identify the preferred states.

I would prefer to have to be worry and careful on how2arena.

-Make a suggestion as to how the preferred states can be achieved.

• I would suggest that losing rating up defeat should happen. ( Strategy of when to Q and/or to be ready to always win)

• I would suggest to increase rating decay when you dont play certain amount of days perhaps.( You want to avoid , together with the first suggestion that people actually dont get so far ahead and just stop participating to secure their position)

• I would suggest that rush week should force or push more people into participation by punishing them if they avoid or reduce their participation ( That way people wil lbe way more active during that week and it gets more intense and competitive)

The way i see it right now is like this: Having a machine gun with 1000 bullets firing super fast but with a terrible handling or aim/control of it.

VS

Having a sniper with 20 bullets and you have a lot of handling and control of it but you need to take your time and be sure when to fire and how.

Strategizing about "when" is best to queue (a thing some would label as queue dodging) is not an element that we want to exist anymore than it already does with the current arena system, so it seems we may be at odds from the start when it comes to the goals of these changes. However, some of the changes suggested have merit.

Per losing rating for losses - the jury is still out on this one. Losing puts enough of a sour taste on people's mouths as it is, losing visible rating in addition to that, especially in this format, we feel is too much. This opinion is not set in stone, but we just need a lot more data than a single incomplete season.

As per increased decay for lack of participation, that makes sense. Whether or not it is necessary will be determined by whether or not anyone with low participation during rush week actually places well. Our guess is that that will not happen, but again, we'll wait and see. Let us know if this happens, and we'll be sure to increase rating decay during rush week based on participation next solo season.

I would like to issue the following complaint against new arena format.
Upon playing in this format I have realized I am not the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Upon this realization I have become quite butt hurt and am now complaining about said butt hurt at every single god damn opportunity presented.
Please erase this entire format and institute a format that I can define and make changes to as we go to provide me with the best opportunity for success.

I dun kno whats happening, but I'm receiving rating like a factor of rating from yesterday. Good fight with high-end toons were rewarded yesterday like 11-13 rating, today i see gaint of 0.3 to 3.8 and nothing more. Still at a long tail of top10, as yesterday. Is there something I'm missing?

Edit: receiving something like half of what my teammates receive. Is that have something in with win/loss rate?

I do not know, i feel like some people take my thread as if i want to fix things to have an advantage towards my self, when in fact all i want is to have things more fair and fun for everyone.

If you think that i really need the arena system to get fixed in order for me to get a decent rating or rank you are mistaken, in fact... just by using the things that i dislike about this system i made 1.3k rating in 2 days, getting my self into the top 15 from top 60. If i had the time or another weekend in my hands i could probable by top 5 by now, easy.

I just want to share my points of view for the better of the game, as i always did and always will, otherwise i wouldnt bother trying to come back and play.

Just my 2cents.
