When it comes to baseless complaining, we have a much higher tolerance for the occasional curse-laced rants of a drunken madman than the incessant passive-aggressive jabs that come from the self-victimizing politician.

Since the beginning of the new season Thorin had been complaining about how the new format "sucked" or was "unfair" in spite of having little to no participation and experience in it. After seeing this for the umpteenth time in civil, he was squelched for an hour and specifically warned not to run to the forums to martyr himself. Unfortunately, that is exactly what he did, continuing his efforts to undermine the new system by announcing that he was boycotting the season. He's subsequently been squelched for a month.

What you said about having little to no participation may be a bit off. He currently has a toon in top 10.

I think it was just a case of people been worried that they have no chance in arena. If you see someone with 4k rating and you are getting 1 every other fight its disheartening. People sometimes need to see something is achievable otherwise they wont like it. Right now to most people catching 4k is impossible with current gains. Even tho as you said it wont be because of decay and what not

most* toons who are complaining about gains an whatnot are the ones getting one hit in arena tbh not like any difference of rateing to them can come about anyways , farm more an nom nom those skill levelers i say!!! Happy hunting

I wasn't around when it happened but if all he did was complain about arena and said how he dislikes it did that really deserve a sqeulch? Since when we weren't allowed to express our opinion? And besides there are several people constantly complaining about same part of the game each day. I repeat, I wasn't around but if i understood this thread all he said is he dislikes this arena system which I can relate to

I would not have gotten 600+ rating with a lvl 40 toon if new Arena was unfair. Stop afk and you can make a difference, shatter, focus the right toons and use as many gems as possible, players are not mobs to non-stop resist them! Just a noob opinion based on My experience. I liked the word usage.
