Default Lag Spikes S1

The cause is due to server hardware limitations, and we are currently looking into solutions both in optimizing the server database and in hardware upgrades if necessary.

Thank you Glitchless for trying to fix this problem rather than denying it as many others would have done.

Also, I've a small correction for you.

As written:
"...even in the event that the datacenter was lost in a tsunami, players would only suffer a 10 minute rollback."

Corrected:
"...even in the event that the datacenter were lost in a tsunami, players would only suffer a 10 minute rollback."

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

We certainly could have used subjunctive mood, however, since it can be used to indicate implausibility (which it certainly does here) and wishfulness (which it certainly does not), we erred on the side of safety. We did not want Poseidon to misinterpret our intentions, should he be lurking. A tsunami may only result in a 10 minute rollback, but it would also cause 24 or more hours of downtime =/

Had you said "I've made a small correction...", then that would indicate proper usage. However, here in the US, it's not correct the way you've done it.
If you're going to say that I am wrong, you should not be wrong.

I've = I have

I've a small correction = I have a small correction

I have a sock for you. I have a bill for you. It's all perfectly legal.

We've no problem with a little British flavour on the forums.

We get a kick out of grammar corrections too, just so long as they're not the typical (and unnecessary to correct) types such as ending a sentence with a preposition, split infinitives, and adjective/adverb (see flat adverb) types.
