Xmas Patch

Glitch. Since the xmas patch, I have seen a decrease on both my toons in the amount of Regen they have. From your wording on the patch, I assumed there was no reduction in stats. Was I wrong? Or did you shifted some stats away from regen? Either I'm going crazy(er) or you getting real sneaky (lol). Plz help me out by clearing up any misconception I and others may have over the patch and how it works. Thanks

After a little research, I have found this patch to be a Regen nerf with regen stats being dropped from some items and being replaced with other stats. You should have called it what it is Glitch, a Regen nerf.

Some LG items had stats minorly shifted, but overall there were no losses in stats, only gains, and it is nothing that cannot be compensated for with a different stone. Furthermore, this was clearly stated in the patch notes. It is not a nerf by any stretch of the imagination.

Great obfuscation Glitch. I have to applaud your legendary ability in this skill. No matter how you cloud the issue or misstate my assertion 'this patch to be a REGEN nerf' it doesn't change the fact that regen was removed from some lg items and replaced with, imo, less useful stats.

Simply take a look at a T1 Demonskull Breastplate. The original stats were:
Str: 4 Dex: 3 Pst: 3 Agi: 5 Cnt: 3 Pre: 7 Reg: 4

With the xmas patch reg was dropped and 4 points added to Pre making that stat 11. Clearly Regen was nerfed and Pre was buffed in this example. This item received no overall loss or gains in stats, it was a wash. (This is only one example. See Spellbound bp as another. There should be many more.)

One more point and this will be all you will ever hear from me on the issue, your suggestion that merely changing stones and everything will be business as usual is priceless. Adding +4 regen to a stone to compensate for the loss of regen on this bp means you will have less +'s for agi, str, dex or whatever stat you wanted to increase.

To quote the patch notes:

Legendary armors have had their stats increased slightly in some cases to ensure all tier increases now provide at least 1 stat increase. This may have resulted in a few items having stats shifted slightly to conform with the new standards, but none have lower stats. We apologize if this means you need to use a different stone on one item to compensate, but it should be worth the extra stats you will get in the end.

Aka, a whole 4 regen lost in the severe case of the DS BP. Life is indeed over. Regen has been nerfed beyond compare. Oh heavens, what on earth happened to OP regen?

Seriously. Change 1 stone, and boom, your build is EXACTLY what it was before. No loss of this +agi or +[insert other stat besides reg here that you really arent using]. Better yet, uptier to tier II, and get another stat point! OMG now your build is BETTER!!!!1!!oneone1one.

I expect this from some people, but...come on Yoda. There is no tryhard...do, or do not.
