Default DPS Comparison of Various Melee Builds

WORK IN PROGRESS

I am limited to melee builds due to the fact that melee (and pet) damage is calculated in the same way in terms of str/dex to damage and AC to damage. DD and Ranged are both affected differently by AC and Cnt and so they will not be included. Hit chances are extremely difficult to calculate as that varies from mob to mob based on dex and agi and so those too will be left out of my calculations. I know they are important but without significant testing there is simply no way to factor those in.

I will attempt to use 'standard' builds for all of these. I will include comparisons both with and without class bonuses, as of course not all people who use a certain type of weapon have a class which benefits that weapon.

First, let's start with a Beastmaster build. A standard BM Dual-Wields LoDs, has two stalkers, and has a Demonskull BP, Demonskull Helm, Dragontamer Legs, and Dragontamer Sleeves. Additionally, they have a Vamp Quiver, RR arrow, and Thraki bow.

First source of damage is Pet. Each stalker has a max damage of 75. Multiply that by 5 for Stalking, Ferocity, and Taming. 75*5 = 375. Next let's look at crits. A pet does 3x critical damage. Assuming the gear described and a R6 critical rune, the pet critical chance is 35%. That's a 35% chance to do 3x damage and a 65% chance to do 1x damage, for a total of 1.7x damage. So we've got 375*1.7 = 637.5. Next let's factor in multiattacks. There is a 13.4% chance to doubleattack. That's 2x damage 13.4% of the time and 1x 86.6% of the time for 1.134x damage. 637.5*1.134 = 722.925. And then rabid. 722.925*1.5 = 1084.3875. And then DT and DS parts. 1084.3875*1.05*1.05_1.035*1.035*1.09 = 1395.95. Now let's do delay. Delay is 50/0.6 = 83.3333. 1395.95/83.3333 = 16.7514. Then remember you have 2 that attack at the same time, so x2 that sucka to get 33.503. Then we get 20% moar dps from r5 pet haste (OMG OP NERF RIGHT?!) so 40.2036. If BM primary this number is 49.852. If secondary it is 46.636. Screw trying to include DK calculations.

TL;DR: Final Pet damage rating is 40.2036/46.636/49.852 (not bm/bm secondary/bm primary)

On to that build's whip damage. Base is 153. Slash spec *1.2 = 183.6. Crit is 2x mult, 32.3% chance. So 183.6*1.323 = 242.9028. Multiattack chance is 30.7% so 242.9028*1.307 = 317.473. 9% for BP, 2x for dual wield, /30 for delay, *1.1 for melee haste.

Final is 25.37. Total is 65.6/71.95/75.23.

Next let's do a badger 1H slash build.

2x badgers, 2x solar sheen, aliangel bp, regulus legs, DS sleeves, DS helm, thraki, RR, conq quiver

Pet damage is 40*2.5 for 100, then 3x crit 26.7% of the time for 1.53x damage, new damage 153.45. Multiattack chance is 7%, so x1.07 gives you 164.20. You have 2 so x2 for 328.391. Delay 40, dps is 8.209.
rabid x1.5 = 12.31, ds sleeves *1.225*1.225 = 18.48.

Slash dmg is 201. slash spec *1.2 dice *1.1 = 265.32. 36.3% to crit 2x, 63.7% to noncr-t at 1.15x (sharp steel) for 1.46x which gives us 387.011. dual wield 774.022. aliangel *1.09 badgers *1.06*1.06 sleeves *1.0225*1.0225 sharp *1.08 melee haste*1.1 = 1177.43. divide by 28 delay for 42.05 final. 46.47 with wm primary. 48.36 with warr primary.

total is 60.53/64.95/66.84

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

still not done. high number is good. when there are different builds added you will be able to compare which one does more damage.
