Negro is Spanish for black, as well as being a generic term for a person of African ancestry. You may be thinking of a six letter word that begins with N and ends with R, which is a racial slur.

Tho i dont approve of it, it isnt that bad at all, negro is a lot better and safer word then the full n word which is so misused this day and age, the n word only means dumb and ignorant person, but so many take it the other way and make it racist. >.>

No wonder certain people don't care for Akil. First it's known that Akil primary language is not English and he is commenting on an English word he is mixing the meaning of with another word.
So just so i could be proven correct I looked up the definition of Negro and found:
adjective
relating to the Negroes.
noun
a member of a dark-skinned group of peoples originally native to Africa south of the Sahara.
Neither of those are offensive in any way that i can see.
Personally I don't really care for Billyrules either but if a word isn't offensive it's not offensive.
