Changing Own Font Color

Does anyone else think it would be a nice feature to be able to change the font color your own text is displayed in?

I'm not talking about the override command so that everyone else is in white, but the ability to change how your own font looks.

When I made my character I thought Red Text with Gray Outline would look good on a black background. In game, it’s not on a black background, and it doesn't look good at all. I would like to be able to change my own colors. The only way now I see to do that is to completely remake the character, and that just doesn't seem worth it.

Yes, I would like to be able to change my fonts on most or all of my avatars, because when you first pick them you can make allot of mistakes. It might look good when you pick them, but in reality and in the game when pming some one or in shout chat channel some are hard to read and hurt peoples eyes. I know that some of mine do hurt my eyes. Specially, after a while of playing the game. LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be very nice and I am sure allot in here wish they could just because of their font being all wrong. I had a player, while playing with me, mention that just last week or two. Since you have to create the character in a rush, so won't be logged out for taking so long, as it happpens with the Internet, you can't really choose correctly in the hurry of it all. I think that feature is not a luxury, but quite the opposite ! ! !

I think it should be a feature that is available during game play and logged into your character, just like the not so usefull overide player colors. I think you should be able to do that, so you can play around with them till you get the right ones on and keep it that way ! Then on the other hand you can keep changing it, if you want to risk it !

Also, if you get bored of seeing the same one on each of your avatars if you have more than one or even just your one avatar. If you mess it up then you can fiddle again to get another or find the one you had prior to the risk taking. Unless your are goodat these technical things in games and mmropg's, or just have a good memory and can find the ones you used right away.

while i agree that we should be able to change our font colors, I'd like to point out that you should have picked colors you could live with seeing. Not colors to mess with and annoy the other people on here. Afterall, I turned off your colors anyways, but chose appropriate colors so mine were readable and not annoying to me for just that reason.

If the color that I had picked was the color that actually showed in chat, I would not have a problem with the color. But I still think we should have the option to change font color without having to re-roll your character.

like i said I agree with the ability to change your color without re-rolling. I didn't realize that happened to you sorry. My colors on the otherhand are working the way i wanted them to.

Yah lots of replies. I don't think it would be that big of a change to allow the changing of text color. And if that's the case I would really like it.

gailenstryker - Sorry I had a moment of weakness, I picked my school colors (scarlet and gray) thinking sweet look at all my school spirit, but 3 days into it, I'm thinking man this is just hard on the the old peepers; I'm the reason everyone turns the font colors off. lol.

Well, I love all those colors and I like to be different and stand out and they would not be there as an option ot use them on posts if it was really all that bad, no would it?

He pk'd me, Ives, and Matango, (which is no longer on anymore), one night just new into the game on one of my free accounts, on my wizard blue gal Zaphire.

Needless to say I was shocked at first and felt so violated (hahaha), because here I was jsut trying to have some fun in the coolest game I have ever seen online and as first time player of an MMRPG it was a bit unsettling to say the least.

I did not want to do it now, but because I will no be able to later, so I did it now. I know that I forget everything else once I am in the game. This game tends to be addictive and take up allot of time.

Further more Bentro, your flashing avatar icon is far worse and hurtful to the eyes and to the nerves.

So, back on Topic: Anyone think the idea of changing your font color would be nice?

Heck I'm easy; Jeff if you don't want to make the change game wide, could you then just change mine? Simple black would be nice. (I'm also Typhon in game)
