lmao. trying this again. lost internet connection sometime before i tried to "submit" thread.
Ahem. I would like to see a teleport skill. using the teleport skill will instantly bring someone to any town he or she has previosely visited. One idea for it to work would be to set it on a cooldown timer. for example: 4 hour cooldown timer, cut in half for accel users, and again for double accel users; bringing it to a 1 hour max cooldown time. just ideas, lets make this happen.

Another idea would be to tie it into the class ability. This could mean that your class ability will go "offline" during the teleporters cooldown timer; respective to the individuals use of accel or double accel.

Another idea would be to go with energy and mana consumption. example: drains mana and energy to zero after using the skill, (regenerates normally) with magicically inclined classes (ie magician, warlock, etc) to have a % chance this will not happen. The % chance could be different for the multiple magic classes, otherwise this WILL happen. If that was not enough, tack on (regardless of class) a loss of (idk...anywhere from 1/6 to 1/4) max energy and mana during the cooldwon period.

Plenty of ideas out there I am sure. Support the idea of teleportation to any town previosly visited; not just the last one touched.

Worried that it can be exploited? Not a problem! Add a hidden mob (changes location during daily server reboot) or a boss players have to (SOLO only) defeat to unlock each towns' respective teleporter location, like a water well, or tree, or grass patch, or ivory kitten statue, or....ummm yeah....these ideas gonna take some work. Anyone care to simplify the idea? And no, gates are not what I am talking about.

Basically, what I am looking for, is a way to teleport to which ever town I want, provided that I have already reached that town. I like the idea of having to solo a towns' teleportation guarding boss. That in itself could offer a great challenge to some, and fun for all.

idk about this one, I think it would take away from the game experience and I'm not talking about xp. I always considered the travel time from town to town part of the game idk that I would want to just be able to gate to any town I want. I kinda like the chance of death going to andol.

I see PKers being able to exploit this. It would take less strategy to PK if you could just teleport away afterwards.

some nice replies. obviosely there will have to be pros and cons to this thing. keep in mind the biggest con should be the time limit between uses. i do not want to pop all over nod and forget how to play; once every 4 hours if needed ( or less with acce,l double accel) would be nice. also make it so you can not use the teleport skill while flashing red, encumbered, or stalking/being stalked as well as from combat. "must be able to log out to teleport" sounds good too. i really do not NEED this, but what the heck, sure would be fun

would increase the demand for higher level trophies at andol and draak, which I think would be nice.

What could work for this (would need some tweaking probably) is each town sells a town potion. So like t2 would sell a Stronhad potion, ust would sell a Ustenar Potion. Each potion is SB upon purchase and has a 0 sell to store value so they can't be carried to another town and sold for someone else to buy. Potions would have to cost quite a bit though, like 500k or 1mill each. And if you are pk and have some when someone pkk's you the potions would be destroyed instead of being lootable.

Teleport could also cost rest time when used.

Don't y'all think it would be cool if every town (except castille, Seer got that) had a new boss added that you would have to solo for the ability to teleport there? Even with a huge wait time and the cost of rest time? That is a lot to ask for, yeah, but sounds fun.

Maybe the forces driving the teleportation skill could be so great that it kills you (lose player level rt minus acquittal bonus) and another loss of rt as the seer revives you.

Lazy is not in the equation. Teleporting could give more people:
A better chance of finding an epic beast in time to get at least 1 fight in.
The ability to get somewhere on the map with time constraints.


Teleporting could also wipe a toons memory; erasing any recall location that has been set forcing him/her to walk where ever. Of course, at a lengthy cool down, and up to double rest time loss (upon death ratio minus acquittal), he/she could always teleport back.

Or each town could have an in game gold cost to unlock its respective blood pool...errr teleportation catch-all.

If recall location is wiped from memory as a by-product of teleport you will still have to walk out.
