You can heal...but there isn't much point. At some point dmg multiplier is too much for heals, no matter how much you can heal, and if you have a healer then the other team will have more dps. A dps build with reg is far more effective. Cure are not bad vs a dot team but then you need a seperate cure pouch else non dot teams might as well be in 3 vs 2. Nautolan selling entire heal suit and gems when previously had been champion is no coincidence.

Hmmmm....seems healers are in the same boat as DD Casters and the craft is taking on water! You healers can't out heal nor can we out dps the top Mit/Regen toons. It is disheartening to be teamed with an awesome healer and fight, 2 vs 1 against a uber mit/regen/(add your class here) and see damage multiplier decide the victor. Are Healers and DD casters headed to extinction in this game?

Well, I kind of suspected things go this way, was one of the reasons I left healing too, wasnt the main reason tho

Yeah...this is my last season as healer. There are a couple of other good healers out there but I'm the last of the pure healers. Is sad to stop doing it as its the role I like best but I'd rather help my team than just make losses take a bit longer.

Me and yado dueled brookeland 2 v 1 heal and dd vs regen archer using mitigation gear. Me n yado have all our skills 100 with full lg suits and all epic gems and he won with ease. Yeah, he's a top toon...but the status quo is crazy.

after this season ill have temper x8 on all gear.. this may be my last arena season... Or atleast until it is fixed anyway. I has gotten out of control on how OP dots and OP regen is.

Btw I invested several mill into the new cleanse gems.... again same as heals BIG WHOOP wtf is a 1150 cleanse gonna do into arena damage bonus??? It doesn't get a bonus and yet the dots stack insanely higher.

I should of thought about that before I bought them, but I wasn't thinking very clearly.

Cure gems and my quiver are ~~probably~~ the best way (excluding anticaster gems) to counter dotters and bms (for the crit bleeds) as the Cure is applied BEFORE damage bonus. Meaning if you do Cure for 1150 it will fully remove ANY DoT that does 1150 damage pre bonus, same goes for my quiver but to a lesser degree.

When the damage multiplier was first proposed, I fought it tooth and nail because it would make healing pointless and make tanking harder. Most people ignored it cause they wanted faster fights, but now it's at the point where you get far enough into a battle and healing doesn't do a damn thing against a 15k crit. This isn't WoW, you can't have 4 healers using battle rez to bring someone back to life when they die in battle. Congratulations people, in trying to "prevent cheating" and "make arena more fun" by shortening battles, you've destroyed a whole aspect of PVP builds.

I did point out that cleanse are significantly better at dealing with dots than heals, but they still can't keep up vs 1 dotter let alone 2, and you have to have a pouch that is useless vs everything else to do it. Heals are completely pointless. I can keep you at full health even when ticking dots for 3k hp per tick...but one bow shot lands and its all over.

slash has discourage gems, cleanse quiver and me and sisix casting cleanse gems and heals and still no go from 2x dotters and a Shaft of death.... WHICH can be proced by a tank with NO ARCHERY stats... which is in my opinion BS... to proc SOD it should require some archery stats.

He still has to land the shot, right? So there's some stats required in a sense.

There's also a fallacy being put forth by the pro-healer union stating that because heals cannot heal through the increasing damage of the multiplier that heals are somehow useless. There are no defenses that are meant to allow you to forever survive through the ever-growing multiplier. Healing is one of several methods that help you survive long enough to kill your opponents. It was not long ago that the idea that the healer/tank/dps build was the only one viable to win arenas. The fact that a team with a healer is not a favorite to win this season should not be alarming, it should be welcomed by the same people who were so recently asking us to "fix" the arena so that more than this solitary team build could work.

imo builds are perfectly balanced there is counter for everything counter for healer is 2 dps these days atm there is no 1 build that can win against every other build so its perfectly balanced u will have to find counter to your opnents team

only thing that i dislike about arena is copy cats things that u do get copyied by somebody else and they use it better coz they have more resouces so all i wud like to say is that hope there was a way to keep ur startgy and builds hidden atleast til rush week or something atm u can keep coming up with different ideas and counters and the keep getting copyied its tyring and furstrating

I'm not saying that healers won't keep teams alive longer, I'm saying that by having a healer you don't have enough team dps to kill a toon using regen until past the point where heals become insignificant compared to damage multiplier. At that point it's obvious that the team setup with 2 dps sources will beat the team with 1.
