Dear Glitchless,

I am writing to you to suggest a new tax system for masters of clans to control, it would go as follows;

Master could set taxes as normal ( whatever % they wanted) but could also set a min rp that all toons in clan must meet, once that said rp has been met, they could set another tax for the rest of the month. Please let me know if this would be possible, it would also be a nice touch if you could do it by level so say u have a min for toons lvl 1-39 then another lvl for toons 40-59 etc, but thats me just blabbering on here, please let me know if this is possible.

would be very useful...could set 30% tax first 2 mil rp then 5% thereafter...or whatever a clan decides. would just need the option of setting pre threshold tax, the threshold, and the post threshold tax.

it could even be a paid upgrade...once a clan has paid the 10mil final expansion it could be a 10 or 20 mil option that opens up

It takes a little more micro managing, but I think the current tax system works just fine.
I don't much care for a min rp thing because some very loyal members that has put their time and worth in might want to take a month break... Good for them they deserve it... I would not want them to be automatically kicked for that.

Yes it would be a little easier, but with proper management of clan its not necessary.

theres no auto kick or anything, that would still be officer decided and if someone takes a month break it makes no diff if 0 or 50% tax to them. it would just mean that until you have met your threshold in rp, you pay more tax and after that you get a tax break, kinda like a reward once u have helped out your clannies. increasing tax hits the top toons, increasing min rp hits the weakest toons, this is a way to put less pressure on a few toons to do the majority of rp gathering.

Not trying to sound like im apart of the best clan or anything.. But we honestly have no issues what so ever with people concerned or complaining about RP. I personally like it how it currently is. If its changed, then I think it would complicate our current comfort zone.

Here's how i see things, and i may be dead wrong or i may be right (i had my moments of both ).

Min RP is... something just there imo, we all know that a set target is better than no target and also that capped player have 0 issues hitting 1 mil tax a month just by farming the daily RRT even if not all decked out in LG gear. What Brooke suggested does not affect how much anyone can / would give to the clan, but how much that someone would save for themselves.

I see in all clans (no intended offense to anyone) some people having like 5 - 10 mil gold donated to clan and others either nothing or close to nothing. I understand that factors may occur to avoid playing, real life be it work or vacation may prevent activity and clan members will not only be missing the RP, but also the player.

Brooke did not suggest an auto kick and i don't think it would be a good idea either. However, let's say that one player is only able to be active half a month and he can't drop RP to the clan. He will be able to meet the target by having increased tax without problems then have tax free time for the rest of the time he is able to play without worrying about it.

How i see this happening and please Glitch let us know what you think and if it would be possible to do:

At reset the 1st day of the month when all toons are at 0, the clan master (or officers, which ever) sets a "minimum RP/character" and clan tax divided in 2 parts: Clan tax before min RP and clan tax after min RP.

The tax would have to be able to be applied per each toon separately (i have no idea if that would work or not since i have no clue on programming and all that) and it would be in effect until the end of the month reset.

A practical example:

At reset on the 1st of march: Min RP/character: 1.000.000 gold. Clan tax before min RP: 50% Clan after min RP: 1%

This would have to be done every month just line rune activation. As usual, who ever wants to donate more gold than tax will do so but at least they will have the option to willingly do it.

That was my full $ there cause it's way more that 2 cents

Could be a bit of a pain to do the coding on, but it sounds like a great system to me. Extra options are almost always a good thing.

i like this a lot, seems would help many players. mainly those in dual clans with at least 20% tax set for each all month long every month.

thorin, this idea, if played out well, would also help people who owe you to not owe you quicker

It's an interesting idea that incentivizes prosperity. We'll have to consider it for future patches.
