Exactly.

A level 14 went pk the other day. Eight minutes later he was hunted down and killed. That's not playing smarter, that's just being a victim of the system.

If I were to go PK on all three of my chars right now, I'd probably get a few fun kills in and maybe an epic or two.

But I'd be dead in an hour. Because we're an average level of about 20 (I haven't even had time to log in the past week or so).

I agree, just like in the realm of things, kill a grey AND GET NOTHING. But now you can still loot? Please it only serves as a pleasure point to shut someone up.
Also they should make the PKers not able to group!!! See how good you are on your own. You get 2 pkers together and they can own the board. NOT FAIR. This is one reason why I stay Free account.

Default My 2 cents

Gee, where to start? I guess I can't really say I'm on one side of the fence or the other here. I'm not gonna try to say that I know the ins and outs of the PKing system. I wouldn't even come close. I think that not losing rested time when PK'd is a good thing. If it doesn't apply to the PK'd and the PKers I think it should. Pkers maintaining an honor code? hmmm That does sound kinda silly. That's like telling a mass murderer that he/she can only kill armed people or those trained in martial arts. It's just too unrealistic and too much to ask for. Although, IMO, I'd think the PKers would want to aim for those relative to their level to get trophies worth while to them. But, I suppose there are those that are just going for that high kill count. I can understand the boredom that must come from being on the top. So you want something to change up and go on a killing spree. Where else can you find large numbers other than in the -20 areas? From what I heard Austen wasn't taking anything from those that were PK'd. I can only imagine Scri was doing the same. So the only thing low level players were experiencing was the inconvenience of being tossed back to the last town they were at. Please, correct me if I'm wrong there. If I'm not, good grief, suck it up people. No, I've never been PK'd yet. Yes, I have a free acct. I will always have a free acct. But that's only because I don't feel the need to ever spend money on an online game and honestly I think the 2x and 3x exp gains are silly. So, I will trudge through my levels and be happy. Sorry, got on a tangent there. So, ok, I've never been PK'd. I'm sure by saying that I've added myself to several TTD lists. That's fine. I have 2 toons: Duderr - Lvl 9 & Bilz - Lvl 6. I personally think I suck at developing my toons so it shouldn't be too hard to chalk me up as a kill on anyone's wall. Which reminds me, Austen, I'm still waiting for my t-shirt.

For those that feel the need to complain about Scri... have some patience. If Decker has 3 lvl 50 toons it'll only be a matter of time before he takes care of Scri seemingly never-ending reign (sp) of terror. Bear with me when I use the word -easy- here but... it's easier for Decker to get from 50 to 51 than it is for Scri to get to 61 from 60. Plus, last I heard the levels were capped at 60 right now. Anyone? Has this changed? Either way, if it hasn't, give it some time, kings always get overthrown. Be it by a "hero" or someone who's got a greater hunger for power, it will happen.

Just one more thing before I get this posted. I saw a few days ago that a PKer had become a PKKer and was able to absolve him/herself of PK status. I was happy to see that as I thought there should be some way to get back to "normal". Otherwise the only thing a PKer has to look forward to is permadeath and well that just sucks. Sure that's something you should consider before going PK but still.

Ok, I think I've stretched my 2 cents long enough.... LONG LIVE AUSTEN!!!!

If there were a limit on what level a PK could attack, then maybe there should be a restriction on how much higher a PKK could be? Or would it always be imbalanced, because PKs often crank up melee disproportionately?

Default PKing

i agree w detrimental
although i would like to add this:
for every 10 levels below pkers level he loses an additional honor point, so if pker pk's someone 20 levels lower he loses 2 honor points, 30 levels=3 and so on this would only count if he started the fight if someone level 20 decides to attack a level 60 pker and loses it should not count against the pkers honor
the honor points should be worth some thing
say maybe 10 honor points= TC
or 50= a new epic not availible to anyone else except pkers
some sort of reward system for following honor system
also if a pker gets pkked and doesnot get perma death since he followed honor system then he/she loses a level and 1 level on all stats, thats pretty severe but not as bad as permadeath.
