9.5b reroll - be creative

So about a week ago I came back to the game after more than a 3,5y break. A lot has changed meanwhile, and I forgot a lot. Logged on every few months to change a passive or to say hi to some friends, and somewhere in that break I rerolled without a plan and levelled to 14!. Last weekend I felt like logging into the game, saw a lot a familiar people and decided to make a serious attempt again at rerolling. Had no idea about dual classes, so decided to go for a bm but using a bow, later I heard about dual classes and went for archer as my secondary class.

Spoke with a lot of people on how to approach my reroll, what to focus on, and basically everyone was very sceptic about it. '9.5b' is way too low to do anything significant'. A bunch of spreadsheets and bugging people with questions later, I felt like sharing my results. It means absolutely nothing compared to what most people have nowadays, but it might help out some oldies who come back to the game with the same crappy total xp high as me.

• I untrained as many stats as possible.
• Focussed on a couple of what I consider to be key stats, in getting those to 100.
• My idea is that the faster I can start killing mobs faster, the faster I will be able to catch up.
• It's impossible to level your main stats and level up everything else,. since you double dip from the xp (and in stats and in skills).
• Stats are fairly easy to sort out after the boon, so I wanted to keep those at an absolute minimum.
• Untrained all my social skills who were still pretty high from back in the day, except recruitment since that gives a bonus xp. Only untrained that at the very end.
• I would put my statpoints in big trophies, to benefit from the extra drops, and whenever I got too close to my boon cap, I would untrain a couple of levels.

Eventually I was able to:

• get archery to 100
• suiting 100
• petmanship 100
• green magic 93
• whips and wound at 95
• fairly ok bm values in most skills,
• most archery skills at a level where I can kill stuff at an acceptable speed

But really the key for me was to focus on a few skills and get them as high as possible, while training/untraining big trophies all the time.

Hope this might be useful for someone who comes back cq decides to reroll with pathetic xp total. The point is that you can definitely do something and get your toon in a much better / uptodate state with the same amount of xp, ready for the catch up trip.

I did something similar when I rerolled awhile back. I only had 5.6b boon so I had to make it count. I stopped in rogg making sure the ding that got me to 67 was the same ding that got me 140 magic. I was then unable to get any stat exp without intentionally changing it so the remaining portion of my boon was for what I wanted.

With my 5.6b boon I was able to get 100 archery, 100 suiting, 100 serial crit, 85 in the remaining archery skills and 68 pet (for bears) at level 67. I focused on the dps skills first and left every other skill 9 since the faster I killed the faster I could catch up and the suiting level alone would give me enough protection from most mobs up to n lake. I did get tired of boon when I had about 1b left so I just leveled to white cap and caught all my skills up, combats going into protection skills and spirits into dots. Then rapids where I stayed until every single skill I planned to use was getting penalties including bgt and mc. Then I moved to n lake for a bit to catch up bm skills and have lived in fungi/redwood or higher ever since because I am too lazy to count my drops for epics.

also rouge has proved himself to me to be a good source to brainstorm with. He has a rough idea of how the mechanics of this game work and even if you know a lot like I do already its still good to brainstorm either way with a few people and I feel rogue is one of those people I would brainstorm with.

one last thing! make a farm toon first even if you wish to pvp.... "pvp is the only thing that holds my sick addiction to this game" first, reason why, you can farm what you need In about a years time in order to properly pvp.... don't be one of those toons that expect the best of both worlds with no effort.. again as a wise old nodder you already know this. Im just stating this to you know because I want to :P

My plan is now to double up my total xp asap and do a proper reroll.

- Changed some gold back and forth and my social skills went to 89 in no time, Still can get roughly 1.8b xp from here. Which would put me roughly at 13b xp.
- Made a skill template in a spreadsheet, which is basically a realistic overview of what skill it want to be what level after my next reroll. Therefore I roughly need 25b xp.

So 12b xp to go:
-2b comes from levelling stats, at 500k xp a fight in the spot south of usternac, that would take roughly 4k fights, or 2000 minutes, or 33 hours (double accel and rtt).
- every fight nets me roughly 1m xp in trophies (1k trophy value is due to modifiers roughly 5k actual xp), so i get 20 trophies at 10k each, multiplied by 5.
- those 4k fights would result in 4b xp from trophies

Which would put me down to like 6b to go.
Since I have a roughly 5:1 ratio of actual xp / trophy xp for magic skills and melee skills, that would equal to about a 1g per 1k xp trophy value. (since I can use plenty of spirits in all 3 magic skills that are not really levelled at all).

Or in other words: 1m gold per 1b xp. At roughly 1k gold on average per kill (give or take, including drops), my 4k fights should net me enough gold to buy the remaining trophies off the AH.

The key is obviously the killing speed. The more skills I get the faster the killing speed will be. I duo with my alt vasco, who has crap gear/stats but is a solid toon that can fight afk. Use the trophies he gains to slowly improve him, but the gold he earns will serve my main zenga.
Didn't take any xp rushes into account with my math.

Well hopefully I get a good bow drop anytime soon, since the 95 uncommon archery set combined with 91 gear ain't exactly great to farm. But it's based on this that i've done my math.

So long story short, think that I can go from 9.5b xp to 25b xp (and I actually think 30b is possible) in a very short timeframe. To then do a proper and final reroll.
But yeah hopefully I'm lucky with gear drops soon

This is great plan!

That is actually preciously what i did. When I finished boon, i put alot of exp in BM + social because for BM, companion = 200% exp per spirit trophy.

If you want I can take you on some boss quests, I don't know how high you have gone but we could get you some 99 rare gear of some sort. No guarantee that it would be archery though.

oh yea while ur on boon u should get things like item stacking to lvl 100. archrune to 90 ect.. Townwalking is as boring as you remembered it 3 years ago and if you are gona craft lg bows, or morph lg armor. you will NEED 95 item stack (morph) or 100 item stack (lg bow craft). Another good skills to lvl to 100 is trapping and naturalist. it is very easy because on boon you should get like 1m exp per opened trap

So better get those boring skills to 100 while on boon

That 'd be awesome and greatly appreciated. I have never really bothered with quests except maybe for the first 10 levels like 5y ago, so I would be surprised if I have completed any. As for boss killed. I just killed the one south of ustunar. Not sure what amount of gold I need to buy any travel gear so I can reach the next bosses, nor if it matters that I'm level 82 as I#m redoing stats.
