Character Ratspike Banned for being Shared

We do not go out of our way to ban characters for being shared. However, when your character sharing becomes a problem for us it results in banning. We've had numerous complaints of this character being shared specifically for win-trading purposes in arena. The character is undoubtedly being shared and does not belong to the original person who made purchases on the account which also indicates character selling. Whether or not it was actually sold is irrelevant, however.

Do not share your characters. The first rule in Nodiatis is not to give your password to anyone. You cannot share characters without breaking this rule and risking being banned.

just cause they overstepped and win shared in arena?
if so why no action against the tema they were doing it with ?

1: most toons have toon sitters, including the people who reported that I allegedly was throwing points.
2: If you were not too lazy, you could go back and see no fights were thrown and I was not even logged during that time at all. it was a fair fight to the death on both sides. Naturally pauls team won.
3: Ratspike was given to me to toon sit, the owner never returned. Had he returned it would be his to have after I UNsb the gems that I had on him and the 15mill gold.
4: Your unfairness of picking and choosing when and not to enforce rules is ridiculous and unfair. The only rule I broke here was let someone have my pass and if you want to ban me its only fair you ban everyone else who has ever done the same... I have about 100 toon names I can list.
5: Most people in nod know me as a man of my word... I may be a dick at times but I am a man of my word, I enjoy the challenge of arena and I don't go behind my "pretend" friends backs and make up a story to get them banned just because im afraid I might lose arena when I would of lost either way.

I hope you are happy about this Glitch, While I am glad you didn't go on a ban happy spree and banned all of my toons.. I am frustrated with your unfair decision and Probably wont be playing nod anymore anyway, with the exception of winning in arena this season with LOP just to prove a point.

Don't break the rules. Whether other people does it or not is not an excuse. Not only were you sitting someone else's account but there were also OTHER people using the same account...

The easiest way to avoid getting a character banned is to not break the rules.

How do you do arena fixing? Did one team keel over and die and let the other team pound on them while dancing around in circles naked? Was there a serious fight? Did Glitchless even look into it or just look at tops list like the rest of us only can? How has it become a "problem" ?

For the record, no matches were fixed. Seeing how paul, naut and lady are the only group to kill the 127 heroic boss and 2 of those 3 were champions last season I dont see how them beating us could be seen in any was as a fix. If the issue is that rat wasn't been played by the original owner, thats fair enough, and he admitted to that, however if he was banned for thowing/fixing fights then this is an unjust ban.

There are safeguards put into place to prevent characters owned by the same people from fighting each other in the arena. When characters admittedly owned by the same person end up facing each other in arenas despite these safeguards because they are being controlled by someone on a different IP it becomes a problem. Whether or not the teams were trying their "bestest" is completely irrelevant. We made a promise to arena competitors that we would be very strict about any illicit activity taking place in the arenas and we are following through on that.

There's a lot of whining and complaining when someone or someone's friend gets banned, but not a lot of logic. We have been completely consistent about banning shared characters when those characters become a problem. Both the character sharing and the problem have been clearly illustrated.

Do not share your characters.

...does that not determine "win-trading" ??? Also, how is there "win-trading" when Oneangel's team lost all matches while trying their best as she stated?

So other teams who have lost to them get upset, report something to you, and someone gets banned?

The simplest thing would be to ban ratspike from arena, that would solve the problem that you illustrated and the punishment would fit the crime.

I guarantee that 90% of Krim's statistics are made up on the spot. I know a fair number of capped people who do NOT toon share.

He did ban him from arena.

....and everything else too. I'm pretty sure that's the only way he could do so, and even if it wasn't, the account still got busted for doing bad stuff.

The same "everyone shares" argument keeps coming up, but like glitch said..

Not everyone has performed actions that are considered cheating, despite the constant break in the no sharing toons rule.

he account shared, which the punishment is banishment, just because he got noticed by reports of arena fixing, true or not, doesn't change the fact he account shared which can bare the punishment of being banned.

I find it funny that the "I only broke a rule everyone breaks" is the excuse and they believe that by itself should get them out of punishment. Real world examples are my favorite so here we go. Cop catches subject smoking marijuana and has marijuana on him. Cop arrests subject on illegal drug possession. Criminal plea is "everyone smokes pot". Does the cop go "oh you're right a majority of people do smoke marijuana. Have a nice day." No he goes "Tough luck you got caught huh". Stop crying stop trying to get a different punishment. Like you said Thorin you are lucky all your toons didn't get banned for you breaking the rules.

I once gave evidence that showed people admitting to fixing arena matches. on forums for all to see. I would think fixing then is the same as in this case. Also the exact same thing happened a few seasons back and I can tell you what exact teams were involved, maybe your records can reach that far back I don't know. But fixing past problems will help current ones been accepted IMO
