He intended to buy an account, thus breaking the rules and on top of that he tried to give something of lesser value for something of more value. The definition of scam.

If skarner was banned for simply saying he wanted currency, then why the heck the scammer exempt from trying to buy an account and scamming at the same time?

in this post yes dangerous was makign offers on the accoutn but never went through with the trade so its not a scam cause dangerous did not buy it nor get the toon to run with it scarner got banned for wantign to sell it .. for currency

Well, Skarner's attempt at trying to get currency also didn't go though. So does that make him not a rule breaker? Skarner never got paid, no trade ever happened.

i dunno thign is he actually tried to sell it which ur not suppose to people can offer to buy accounts all the time and not get banned cause thats just offering

But, at the same time skarner "Offered" to sell his account. The scammer "Offered" to buy his account FIRST. They are both at fault.

Skarner needs to be unbanned, or both the scammer and skarner needs to be banned. This is the only logical way to proceed.

Not to mention the community is probably going to treat him like the plague if he does get unbanned. If he was going to return, the fear of backlash from the community will probably be sufficient to keep him away.

Thank you chloe. The scammer was planning to break the terms of use from the very start, and even initiated the conversation with skarner. So the scammer needs to be banned.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Mistressofterror showed intent to purchase a character with a World of Warcraft account. When Menageatwan was trying to sell his account for TCs he got civil banned on all his toons. What is MoT going to get? Overlooked, more than likely.

Why are you defending this person so diligently? If I recall correctly, your character got banned for being shared and used in a scam. Due to this, I don't believe your testimony is worth the space it takes up on these forums.
