dont agree its a good idea... ur gem fails a lot means u need to change ur build or improve ur skills. if it misses a few times well then thats just fair, cause even tanks and melee builds suffer through a lot of misses that make fights last longer and longer. do they get anything for missed hits?

For dots i think that skill would be too op. they wouldnt need replinishers nor regen with that skill. maybe a % hit chance skill would serve the same purpose. Something like archers and melee have.

if epic skills class specific are to be introduced, it should all be simultaneously. even if its archery or healing skill.

I'd much rather see a skill that actually lowers the cost by upto 20% at the skill of 100..

Numbers ofcourse could be changed and altered, but this way it affects everyone..

there are already skills that reduce the cost by 20%, and they effect everyone not just casters

There is one way to reduce the skills and its leveling the color of the gems (for everyone except casters)

And yes, I read them all and was the one to point this out to countless people over the years.

My point was it's more logical and beneficial to EVERYONE to make a skill that does that versus actually vamping.. because it would affect heals, auras and other gems like Apoc, which is much needed because as it stands the only true way to counter regeners is Apoc and its very hard to sustain the gem considering with Deft you have very limited time until sacrigensis is pulled again.

Also if it lowered the cost of ALL gems, it would benefit other classes about as much as Stone and Water affect casters.. so maybe you should try to use some logic before you spout nonsense

I think you might be forgetting worgen. Yes, others can level it...but who gets the most, actually semi-decent benefit? Whippers, just like these skills would support everyone but more benefit for casters. Not sure about these skills yet, I'll sleep on it.

Thought about it for a bit, and I think it should not only require an epic skill, but also a choice. Meaning, it should also require a gem, or a rune, or something similar. Perhaps something to replace that damnable archery set casters can't equip.

I think this is actually a slightly better idea. It would help all classes and fit the whole epic skill theme.

However I think that both this and the original suggestion will benefit hybrid dd/dot builds way more than casters as casters can sustain ammo on long fights fairly easily (with a few pouch adjustments to add more replenishes or by adding mana/energy regen). A dd or dot archer using deft recovery would benefit far more from either a lower cost to cast or getting a substantial part of the mana/energy back for a miss. If the cost of casting is reduced for heals then healers will cast from behind a shield using the lg heal bow and dd will fight from behind a shield with lava vein quiver and bouldering tendon whip to make up the stats. I think this would in effect kill staff use for good.
