Default New class idea

I know its been suggested before but here goes anyway.

Monk Class.

Description: A secret temple discovered in the Ancient Rocklands has led to the discoverying of a Devout order of Monks that has not had contact with anyone outside of their Sacred Temple since the fall of Andor. The Monks are a very peaceful group, and upon hearing the state of the world beyond their enclosed temple gates they have all taken a quest to spread the teachings of their order.

Class Ability, Stone Knuckles: For the next 10 seconds the monk will receive a 30% melee slow, and has a 40% chance to stun with successful melee strikes. (5 min CD)

Class Bonus: Monks receive a 50% bonus to melee unarmed damage, as well as 7 delay to melee as long as no weapon is equipped (includes bows).

Monks receive 10% bonus to melee, -10% bonus to magic, 15% bonus to defense, 0% bonus to recovery.

Great effort , i support this but with the lg weps i doubt glitch will implent this. Make it 7 delay less for any 2h wep and 4 delay less for dw due extreme training. 15% stunlock additional for dw and 30% for 2h (this does not count for whips and staves). 20% meleedamage for dw and 35% for 2h users on ca.. maybe you can work a bit on teyh numbers but you get the gist of it.

If there's a CA giving a class the ability to stun on 40% of hits for 10 seconds the stun duration better be .5 or .25 seconds. There are a lot of interesting ideas for new classes and new bonuses, I like that people are thinking. Gotta make sure they are in balance with the rest of Nodiatis though and will keep the game fair and balanced. As is the case with most ideas, I don't disagree with it but it needs more work.

I think that a monk should have abilities relating more to defense than offense. I know that's not a popular concept for many RPGs but to me it seems that monks mostly mind their own business in story lines. This would lead to me to expect a monk to be a warrior capable of meditative trances and incredible defensive fortitude.

As far as I know unarmed damage doesn't proc bloodlets and isn't affected by any skills. SO the damage would be attrocious and the class would be shut down by anti stun aura. even with the 50% damage boost I think the highest hit recorded was only 150, and with the low delay and the new armour procs it would be useless.

Not only that but not being able to have your own weapon procs shoves it down more.

as much as i would like to see some unarmed combat, i really cant believe that an unarmed class can still be combat comparable to someone with a massive hammer, a bowman, or a swordman.

in otherwords, i cant see an unarmed crit being 1000 damage.

base unarmed damage=1-level affected by agi for accuracy str for damage....but yea even saying that you have 85*1.5*1.5 making 191 max unarmed hit with a 50% bonus

would have to revamp the whole system to allow for another weapon type before monk class would be even semiviable
