Damaging Cantrip

Dear Jeff,

I recently made a very ncie healing pouch on my alt, dedicating my previous tanking-healing main into a deflecting one. Since my alt is bucka** poor, the gems aren't great, but there are a few decent ones. I added some damage cantrips to fill up space and make it more viable and useful.

I dont have a lot of mana/energy (me being the dex/cnc sort of guy) so I rely heavily on regen gems like Manaburst and Invigorate. And since my gem draw haste is terrible, I rely on the damage cantrips (cheap and useful!) for quick draws in combat.

But, during looting (which is when i concentrate mainly on regening), I have found that damage cantrips "cannot be cast against dead enemies", therefore new gems cannot be drawn with haste.

The patch that made casting on dead mobs impossible was overall very useful - saving potentially hundreds of mana points per battle at higher levels - but I suggest you relax it in favour of damaging cantrips only, seeing as their usefulness in looting can be extremely useful.

I do use energy/mana cantrips as well, but they are much more expensive, and need to be upgraded with time. And since they are rares, the price tends to increase exponentially. With damage cantrips, it doesn't matter what rank they are, since damage is minimal - but the effect remains the same. And it is the effect I'm looking for - the quick draw haste.

be thankfull, you dont waste mana and energy, when casting heals on a dead friendly, the gem fails (obvs) and you lose mana and energy

He is saying he has slow draw speed, I told him that deft recovery can be leveled to increase the speed. Both toons that he is referring to (Noodlesauce and Darthwolfus) are both above level 40 it was a viable way to increase the speed.

I am aware, Nore. My idea was to simply relax that occurence ONLY in the case of damage cantrips, so full advantage can be taken of the gem drawing effect.

Scrambles, as a regener your first instinct would be to tell me to train recov. And it's understandable, too. But, as an archer (especially a low levelled one) training recov would weaken my character. I have currently temped recov to a level which allows me to delevel effectively whenever needed.

Rogue, while I am already training deft recov, levelling is slow since I have 0 upgrades. I would usually buy/farm trophs on Noodle and feed Darth, but I already owe a TC (the less I talk about the prices, the better) and I'm trying to save gold wherever possible.
