Smile Epic drop dependance

Dear Jeff,

I was farming ancient oak with my alt today, in the hopes of finding an epic, because both of us could do with some decent 58 armour. Anyway, I was wondering - is the drop chance epics dependant on rrt consumed (that is, does accel contribute to this?), or the number of mobs killed, in which case it is better to leave accel off (if trophs and exp are not taken into consideration)?

For example, when farming ancient oak (DISREGARDING TROPHIES AND EXP)

---> With accel on, more rrt is consumed, and less mobs are killed.
---> With accel off, less rrt is consumed, but more mobs are killed.

My question : when farming ONLY for epics - once again, disregarding exp gained or trophies recieved; purely drop-farming - is it beneficial to turn accel off, or does accel indirectly contribute to the speed of recieving an epic drop?

Please clarify, and thanks again.

glitchy likely will not answer this question...but you could do extensive testing recording each mob total killed between drops and rrt used etc and determine a pattern...ime its a combination of mobs killed and rrt dependant also on the strength of the mob

It`s based on rrt consumed.

Accel contributes to all the factors that determine the likelihood of getting a drop.

The one thing we definitely know is it's not 100% rrt based, or you could spend a few hours of rrt on just a couple mobs and get an epic.

I say that is based rrt because i got epic without the normal drops. The epic due came after I farmed a good amount of rrt hours on bosses. Happend after the month when the rushes were doubled.

There are too many factors to figure it out on short notice. I've had epics drop as high as the 12th drop and as low as the 3rd drop when not in heroic. I am starting to believe that mob difficulty plays a small role in the factor.

it is playerlevel vs rrt used vs level of mob vs exp gained vs plunderfield vs killing speed (side note heroic also affects this as well as accel and double accel)
