my opinion on this weapon, is that its a massive slap in the face to PURE (note that word people) Peirces.

The stats are nice inc delay and min, but thats it.

for me, this weapon is a massive joke, and there is no reason for me to attempt to use it.

In saying that, i do hope, that you bring out similar joke weapons, like a 1h slash that turns around and buffs peirce min damage.

Has it ever occurred to you that there are only a handful of PURE piercers? And most people who have piercing skills recently got them when Thorin got his arena reward?

Again aside for a few select people, mostly you, RT and Goreath come to mind..

Oh, and a handful of archers who used piercers for the supplementary stats they provided archers

Also not disagreeing with you, but as it stands this is how most LG procs are.. despite a select few (whip doing multi chance and hit chance etc)

So more pure based procs would be good on all types of weapons.. but I guess in Glitch's eye it's more beneficial "end game" to be a hybrid (two sources of damage > one) even tho we may not see it that way

2 sources are better then 1, which is why pierce has DoT to back it up, as influenced by the Rogue Class Bonus, which is the bonus to poison dot damage.

now, instead of making pierce better, as witnessed with this 1h drop, its been changed to make us use a whip or slasher. Yes it would be larger hits, but we would lose out on the bloodlets, the procs from the pierce weapon, which is what the pierce is about, min damage.

the entire thing annoys me, that to use 1 of our legendary weapons, we have to give up the things that pierce uses, level an entire new set of skills to use a dif weapon type, JUST to use the proc on the weapon.

and not 1 other weapon, sits there and says, yeap, this is all good BUT you need to use this other weapon type to use the proc.

yes, some are bonuses to gems, but thats to be expected, it can be used to supplement any build, and therefore is beneficial to all.

and yes, not many pierces in the game, which is why there isnt a massive uproar about this. But you turn around and have a, for instance, crush weapon that gives a bonus to pierce weapons, most crush users will QQ and whine and bitch (yes like im doing atm) about how that proc is useless, and they have been screwed out of a legendary weapon.

for all you know glitch can be saving the PURE build lg weapons for last... meaning they will come out years from now.. and he will release the lower tier type weapons first being hybrid build types...

this game has been influenced by whining since it started, and it will continue to be. It has been proven, and admitted by glitch, that people that whine about things, generally have their ideas heard more, mainly to stop them from whinning

And as people have noticed we've decided to make the beasts drop 3 masters and 1 actual weapon.

I still do not understand this. I've grouped with slashers and crushers and their DPS (2 Handers) are considerably more than my DPS. My skills aren't sucks either. As for the buff to 1H piercer, they might be closer on par with the other 1 handers, but to be decent in DPS are 2 handers going to be phased and and pushed towards dual wield piercers or change weapon types?

Leveling two different lines of weaponry skills instead of just specializing in strictly piercing skills is not hybrid? what??

Hybrid builds are all well and good, but pierce and slash are different stat sets, different bonuses, and in generally different focuses. Slash is well rounded, Pierce is min, Crush is max.

I can understand weapons with bonus to gems, as most everyone that is decent, has adapted to that. BUT you dont have for instance a bm using 1 whip and 1 crush despite both pets and crush having higher damage in general. It would be unpractical and in general retarded.

That is what my complaint is, despite a 1h buff, pierce has had (please correct me if im wrong) no pierce specific buffs in the past 12 months atleast, i made a comment or 2 about it, and figured since all lg weapons arent released, something will come along, and be beneficial to the weapon type as a whole. Then this weapon comes out. There is no benefit to pierce, and its basically like you saying, well, pierce sucks, you all know that, we know that, how about you start combining with slash, and not be a real weapon type that will be used on its own. (keep in mind i mean this in a pure auto attack sense, gems arent considered). What is the point in staying with pierce?? Is there something good coming?? all i would like, personally, is some kind of response from you, that can justify me sticking with a weapon type, that lacks in dps when farming un black mobs, and lags behind in pvp against similarily skilled people of other weapon types.
