I can understand weapons with bonus to gems, as most everyone that is decent, has adapted to that. BUT you dont have for instance a bm using 1 whip and 1 crush despite both pets and crush having higher damage in general. It would be unpractical and in general retarded.

That is what my complaint is, despite a 1h buff, pierce has had (please correct me if im wrong) no pierce specific buffs in the past 12 months atleast, i made a comment or 2 about it, and figured since all lg weapons arent released, something will come along, and be beneficial to the weapon type as a whole. Then this weapon comes out. There is no benefit to pierce, and its basically like you saying, well, pierce sucks, you all know that, we know that, how about you start combining with slash, and not be a real weapon type that will be used on its own. (keep in mind i mean this in a pure auto attack sense, gems arent considered). What is the point in staying with pierce?? Is there something good coming?? all i would like, personally, is some kind of response from you, that can justify me sticking with a weapon type, that lacks in dps when farming un black mobs, and lags behind in pvp against similarily skilled people of other weapon types.

I am not sure what it was before I joined, but I think the poisonbolt % chance was increased a few %s, but that is it. Still does not compare with Dice.

so slash get decent min/max damage and dice, crushers get insane max damage, and piercers get... decent minimum damage which does not seem to compare and weapon drops which benefits others. kay !

Again, personally I don't see a problem with the item itself. When I sold Goreath the piercer I looted I constantly saw him farming with a piercer and a whip.

Yet, again I'm not saying pierce weapons aren't underpowered or anything.. Just stating that most of people using pierce items do infact have secondary builds, or the piercing skills are the secondary skills.

But I don't agree with you that these items are useless, granted I have only sold a handful of Hydra Fang Dagger TP's. They are just very specific..

I can see why you are butthurting, you forget how hard I bitched and moaned about the Ranger Class bonus being outdated a long time ago (when it s 8-24% to min ranged damage)
And I would even dare to say that pierce weapons have also been outdated due to the updates in monster damage formulas. And not to mention that bloodlets do not get vamp bonuses, which is also very detrimental to piercers.

interesting... I will admit that procing on slash/whip but not on pierce seems odd to me. From my look at it, I would prefer two Hydra Fangs to this 1H Pierce + any slash/whip option released so far in terms of raw melee DW dps. I will admit, though, that I haven't done DW at all, never mind pierce, in a long time. If it proc'd on piercers I could see a reason to use it along with another piercer instead of just 2x Hydra's (though... max dmg isn't really what pierce is looking for) but idk.

I suppose... that you piercers can look at it the way that archers look at the lava vein quiver. Congratz. You got hosed and lost one of your legendarys so another build can have an item. Honestly, I couldn't imagine this wep on anyone except a bow user. :/

I decided to be dual piercer because it was different from the majority. Perhaps you could buff "Pierce Spec" or to focus on 2H Piercers you could buff the Puncture proc.
