Idea:
Groups of toons can come together, perhaps these "Tribes", can have a max number such as 9-12 toons....Much smaller than clans, but bigger than a 3 toon group.
These Tribes can claim territories, say in lvl 86+ zones, so newbs not bothered, where they can tax chest gold gained from farming these zones.... Or even just entering the zone at all requires a sort of toll. You can refuse to pay, at risk of being pulled into a tribal fight, can be a 3 vs 3 of whole tribes fighting each other if on same squares and forced; if you have refused to pay taxes and you lose the tribal fight, 1/2 gold on you is lost.....
GOLD LOST??? Introduction of banks: in towns you can deposit/withdraw any amt. of gold into town bank every say 2 hrs real time since last deposit; can withdraw at any time.
Advantages of Joining a Tribe:
not only is the taxed gold split between the toons of the tribe, but in zones you have claimed as yours, you get bonuses to farming...
Also, every tribe needs to identify themselves some how:
My idea of war-paint on armors/shields and elemental acquisition towards weaponry is very tribal indeed. These war paints and gaining elemental forces signify ones tribe and mark the tribe.

Tribe Gains:
a MUCH smaller rune vault where say 3-5 runes are activated and are applied to whole tribe rather than activated and toon selecting which to use.
Groups in same Tribe see eachother on the map as unidentified dots to help coordination of zone take-overs and tribal looting of another's zone.
Looting another tribes zone has great gains.... for Glitch to figure out what gains are applicable i think....
Groups in the same tribe can take shifts killing some of these hard to kill high level heroic monsters, for instance, there is a cooldown and can switch 1 toon in for another every at a level 100 skill 30 secs or so....
Neutral Toons:
No extra rune gains
No tribal war paints or acquiring elemental embibed weaponry
No PvP worry
No taxes
No farming bonuses
No interchanging toons on killing monsters
Joining/Changing Tribes:
There are dues to be paid...... so many hr's RRT must be spent "provign one's self" for inception. This is a no-take back decision where if you do not wish to join that tribe any more you still have to burn an amount of RRT before you can be neutral again.
Leaving a tribe can lead to the tribe being able to get gains from you, whether it be loot/gold/etc. from pvp combat for a certain amt. of RRT spent.
Disowning a tribesman leaves toon tribeless for a certain amt. of time, but no gains/losses from toon. They become neutral. So don't leave on bad terms :P
Zone Territorial Gains:
Some sort of monster defeat by tribe... be it a beast that randomly appears and you have to hunt/stalk it.... or the heroic boss in that zone, which could have random alternating static locations at diff times of day/week so cannot completely fortify zone vs. take-overs.....
