Player can buy a house in nodiatis towns.

1. If player is at house during server reset, they get 5 minutes extra RRT.
2. Player can only rent one house at a time.
3. Rent is based on popularity of city (number of houses being rented in that city). Ust might cost 950k per month while crella only cost 75k per month.
4. Home-gate potion for sale 5k ea (~9 recalls) in all towns. This lets you port to your house.
5. House storage (4th chest) 2 rows of storage for items only at your house. These cannot be put up for auction. This is where you put future armor ect.
6. Town discount. The town you own your house at gets a 10% discount on all store items (NOT-LEGENDARY or epic items)

Why do we have to pay rent if we own the house?

because price is dependent on how many people are renting houses in a town. So the price must change. Also for gold sink purposes.

The game already has gold sinks. Runes are 75m a month for most clans and a full set of the highest tier LGs will set you back a few hundred thousand USD.

I don't want my article to degenerate into an argument over gold sinks. Lets just forget that gold sink comment? I still answered ur question with my previous thread:

because price is dependent on how many people are renting houses in a town. So if fa'ra becomes popular in 2014, house prices in fa'ra will of course change. Thus the idea of paying for a house only ONCE doesn't make sense in my idea.

Also safe land is VERY scarce in nodiaits. You may only rent land as all land is OWNED by the goblins

It makes sense paying for it once because then it shows you're making an investment in your house, so if it triples in value over the next year, you win, and if you buy a house that halves in value over the next year, you lose.

Either way, I don't support paying rent for whatever reason you give.

If you won't be persuaded then no point in discussing rent further. Lets just leave it at I want rent and you don't. If glitch implements, his decision on how to price these.


REMEMBER glitch, implementing this would mean no graphics change or whatever. Just an extra entry in ur database, extra java logic, and an extra potion item (If you accept the potion idea). If all else fails, atleast implement the fourth storage/chest for items that you don' plan to sell.

Or, you could do both rent and outright buy, just like in the real economy. The outright buying would be better for the capped toons that could afford a 10m perm house, which renting would be better for the toons that are still up and coming. However, make it so that, if you buy a house, you are stuck with it forever. You can't change locations and you can't sell it. However, if you rent, you could change town locations every month. Now, how to work with the "house storage" for someone who moves towns. Make it so that once they rent a house in a new town, they have a 24 hour time limit to move the items in storage before they lose them. (Yet again, just like real life) *shrugs* either way it goes, I think it's a good idea and it gets my support.

If I have the money I want to be able to buy a house anywhere, even a house in every town. I also want to be able to buy up multiple houses in a single town so that others can't have them.
