Default new casting skill and new gems line idea

I was wondering is it possible to conect damage from DoT and DD gems so DD get boost if target is already affected with similar type of DoT, weapon or potion damage
sugested that new skill has named * OVERSKILL - every point in that skill raise DD damage if target is affected with similar DoT, weapon or potion damage for 0.25 that give 25% higher damage at maxed lvl* (it can be 0.33 per point too) *

also it could be -1 magic skill for all collors (maybe under psych magic)
- have one skill for each typ of magic ( life overskill. psych
overskill , death overskill)
- or third option, each collor has own skill (red overskill,
black overskill, green overskill etc etc)

connected types:
burning and fleshburn - red
disease - black
poison - green
forsaken - white

since blue and grey dont have damaging counterparts in DoT-s i suggest 2 new line of DoT gems :
freeze damage for blue magic
lightning damage for gray magic
That gems should be at least good as red or black Dot-s, even maybe better to encourage pplk to use grey and blue DD gems

That is just an idea to connesct somehow players with different typ of playing like DoT casters and archers

there are black poison dots and green bleed dots too..not that i understand what this thread is getting at.

He is trying to say that if a target is burned (red) that red dd's should get a up to 25% boost or boost to flashburn damage, disease = black dd's, poison = green, forsaken = white, and he suggested 2 dots for blue and grey freeze (blue) = blue and lightning = grey.

He also suggested that it all be 1 blanket skill to cover all the type or have it per 2 (death, life and psych) or make each color have its own skill

EDIT: He wants to try and have better synch between dots and DD's so people try hybrids im guessing instead of the standard teams he is trying to promote diversity.

so if a person is posoned for 100 dmg by a green dot it would then tick for an extra 25 if you fire a green dd within the time of the poison tick? would this be instead of or in addition to the dmg the dd does? if you fire 10 dots for 1000 dmg and then fire a green dd would that add another 250 dmg or just the 25?

considering casters are the power houses of both PvE and PvP... i do not think any extra dmg. dealing is needed

Still, having casters focus on both DoTs and DDs should give them something in return.

He's suggesting that a burning target should take 25% more damage from red DDs, that a poisoned target should take 25% more damage from seldom-used green DDs, and the rest.
Note that the best combo using this skill would be black magic (since both its DoTs and DDs deal reasonable damage)
Because no caster uses red DoTs above basic levels, it would actually increase their use with this buff.
The green DDs are already seldom-used, but would come on-par when used with a poison potion!

Hybridization should always mean higher power in Nod, but a higher skill requirement and stat management issues.

Diversifying your build between damage over time and direct damage gems you're already gonna gain cuz 1 cannot be blocked and w/ the right skills and runes, can pretty much be cast for free as far as mana/en req's; while 1 deals immediate damage. You're already getting the benefit of both worlds. No additional benefit (damage in particular) needs be dealt.

Support the individuality of builds and maybe throw in blue&grey DoT's but I don't think DD casters need anymore buffs
