Default Grey/white DDs

It occurs to me that every color of DD gets a dmg bonus from a skill except white and grey. Not necessarily asking for one, but I'd like to point that out and give you something to think about.

Only useful grey gems imo are auras and to some extent shields. Of the auras, only resist auras are affected by any skill or class bonuses. Grey magic and enchanters are a sad sad lot.

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

some types of magic are not designed for offensive use.

There are six different colors. So should we make them all the same and reduce it to one color? The colors are different, so what?

The point is 4 DD colors have a skill that boost them, 2 don't. Why those 2? Blue isn't exactly worthy of it if white/grey aren't imo.

Really I'm just curious why those 2 were neglected. They're not exactly stellar to begin, but I don't see why blue with its atrocious damage gets a skill and grey doesn't when it has equally atrocious dmg o.O

blue has benefits to some extent, such as replay, meaning you can draw another gem immediately after drawing a blue gem 50% of the time, which is a different strategy to red and black etc. grey magic gives great auras that have a skill for, and white magic give great heals that have a skill for.

I've long thought this as well. Maybe a type of grey could be a % chance to block/resist next incoming attack/spell. That'd be useful for high lvl boss protection of non tanks and such.

On the original topic, I don't really think it's needed as white isn't designed for dd damage and already has healing bonus skills. Same with grey and whatever people use them for outside of auras.

If it really bums you out, suggest a skill that adds defence to all DDs except white and grey; that's be the same idea for white/grey and better than continued offence buffs imo.

Then don't design DD gems for those types.

If a gem is in the game, it is meant to be useful. Period.

Your point is completely invalid.
---

I think Grey magic should be affected by Replay, perhaps with a lower chance. At 100 skill it should be 20% for Blue and 15% or 10% for Grey.
And I'm not just talking about DDs, but all Grey gems.

Not sure about what to do with White DDs, but could be in Necromancy, with the same bonus and rules as Green.
