Storage Sorting Option

Hi, everyone,

Viceadmiralcorn has just suggested that the Storage system be improved, in a recent forum thread. I figure this idea has probably been suggested by various people at various times, and I do not wish to discredit any of those people, but if not, I will put it out there.

I would like to request some sort of Storage Sorting option which would allow players to automatically sort their rows of storage, either alphabetically or by item type.

This feature would make game play easier, in my opinion, because the items in storage would be easier to locate, and less frequently misplaced. I suggest that it be optional, as there would undoubtedly be some aspects of such a feature which would prove unfavorable for some players. As such, those players should have the option to turn it off.

I have recently been trying to sort through my own storage space and line everything up based on item type. However, the current method of moving items involves stacks which switch places when moved into new squares. This makes it more difficult to line things up in a row. In order to put an item in between two other items of its sort, I need to shift everything, manually, down the line.

Some kind of sorting option would provide convenience for organizing items and/or separating auctions from items not currently for sale.

If this idea has already been suggested, I commend those who have previously suggested it. Any opinions or suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

i support anything that has to do with storage, cause i have so little of it. i would totally use a cleanup/organize button, especially in my inventory, it contains massive amounts of junk.

of course having another row of storage COULD help with this problem

I already self-organize, though I'd love a way to "opt out" some things when retrieving items.

Many available options (trophies, materials, recipes, others).

This wouldn't change the order the items are in "memory" (so not much recoding needed)

Making the option change when you close the browser would mean it wouldn't take any space on the server

Thus, when sorting for "materials", it would place only materials you have in storage as visible, in the order they are placed in.

I'd especially like an option such as "Empty" to be selected (so I can simply place my trophy stacks in an empty square without having to scroll through my storage to find one, and then switch to "trophy" when I need to move this bounty)
