What Legendary Uptiers do for Nod

I'll start off saying that I do plan on purchasing legendary items, and have the funds to do so when the time comes. I also fully support legendary weapons and armor.

However, many serious problems occur within uptiering systems with incremental costs.

Gold/$ costs for a relatively cheap Legendary Sleeve.

Tier 1- 2.5mil gold / $30
Tier 2- 5.0mil gold / $60
Tier 3- 10mil gold / $120
Tier 4- 20mil gold / $240

This puts the tier 4 costs of some weapons/chests at an estimated $720-850
For a single item. keep in mind you use 9-13 items (depending on weap choice), + gems.

When you get numbers even close to this, a few things happen:
All you need is money to win, pay-to-win.
Rich players pwn skilled, hard working players.
Arenas and PvP become null, pointless. (if you want to win)
Motivation to improve is shadowed by knowing that you; no matter how hard you work, or skilled/innovative you are, can never achieve what thousands of dollars can buy instantly.
It defeats the purpose of a game.

Some would argue that Trophys being tradeable is also favorable to fat wallets, and it's true, but anyone can farm trophys, all this does is save the rich players time, it doesn't truly give them an advantage. Most things you can purchase in the game, until recently were quite trivial, and someone with more skills and lesser equipment still had a chance. I always thought keeping Nodiatis a non-pay to win game was done purposely by Glitchless. Which is why I am confuzzled.

But this tiering system is EXACTLY equal to opening up an Item Mall, and selling uber items for $300-1000 each, putting these items within reach to 0.02% of Nodiatis players. I wonder who will win Arena? I wonder who will win every duel? Who will have the highest boss/group solo? Best PK'er? Yeah, that 0.02%.


I can't just suggest that the entire tier system be removed or even augmented, some people already have tier 2-3 legendarys, it's too late. I wouldn't want to interfere with Glitchless's income either, I know they deserve every dime they get for the upkeep and maintenance on a game such as this. This tier system being incomparable to anything in terms of $ income. They have bills, servers and data backups/etc, employees (Hai Mike<3) {many things I'm sure I'm ignorant of as well} it all adds up.
I have nothing but respect for Glitchless.

Instead, my intentions are to challenge Glitchless, and the players to come up with a way to keep the game fair to everyone when it comes to equipment, and not so advantageous to the super rich. I've been trying for 2 days and keep coming up empty. Post your idea/suggestion in this thread or in the ideas/suggestions section of the forum.

Think outside the box, keep an open mind, and always see the big picture.

They've spent a combined $0 on those accounts. You don't have to spend IRL money on anything in Nodiatis to reach the top. Doing so just helps you get there faster. You have to know the game, and learn all the strategies in PvP and how to counter them. Spending thousands on gear won't get you to the top. Making the very, very, very top stuff prohibitively expensive helps prevent that.

What you're suggesting Glitch is that a person in all tier 4 gear, couldn't compete with a person in normal gear (with good pvp tactics). I disagree, all the guy in tier4 has to do is click auto attack, drag a gem or two? (if you live long enough) I think any rich dummy can figure that much out.

This thread is far from an attack on Glitchless, it's a respectful way of resolving a hidden issue. Also, if I gave 70 timecards to someone, or an alt of mine, they could get all upgrades and what not, and it would still show that the account(s) consuming those timecards (which did cost money) spent $0.

Just to get accell on 3 account, (without spending money) would require grinding out 8,250,000 gold(@250kTC prices), without accell active. That would take 3x longer than the game is old.

Great idea relic, but i have to disagree on this one. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Nod and am nowhere near a "top player" never been ranked higher than maybe 75 in arena, maybe it is by choice, maybe not. I spend money to support the game, not to own it. I honestly don't know a single person in here that blows massive amounts on teecees that has bliss enabled that will really wreck alot of toons. Strategy and patience are what win, not a bank account.

i dont like the uptiering system at all and its kinda too late for those who have it morphed gears bonus on uptierd gears is too low cost is too high blah blah i just hope glitchless thinks about this stuff real hard before doing any change

and the reason why i am posting here is i am a pakistani/ afghan dont have a credit never seen one not even anybody in my family have seen one and here i am playing this game my toon trojan all our legendry and if not the best dd caster in the game hes prolly not 2nd to anyone without spending a dollar and yep i had friends like mostly will cry about LD was playing your toon so if LD have helped me i have helped his toons too to get where they are and LD was never the kind of guy who gets me gold that mofo always used to spend my gold without even asking me but he was awsome friend and we had really funny group chat that used to make me farm for hours


all i want to say is peoples who cant buy tcs with $ can still do it if they make a good stratgy i made mine and some of them worked and yea u need ****load of RL time to do things faster


so eat your babies and breakup with your girlfriends and say diaf to all your rl friends and u can do eet !!!

The facts remain, the only people with Tier IV Legendary items will be people who can blow hundreds/thousands of dollars per item.

Secondary fact being these items will give unfair advantage to the players using them. God forbid there is a millionaire who actually has some understanding of PvP tactics and "the game". In the end, we will all regret this system, as many other MMO's have.

The goal here in this thread was to push for a way to make high tier legendary items available to more than a fraction, of a fractions fraction of players. I can clearly see that the intentions were overlooked on multiple accounts. I will not be posting here any further.

I apologize if I have discomforted Glitchless in any way.

I will just color in my coloring book now, and fingerpaint.

Only thing sad about nod is people who dont spen $$$ and just bot to gain by farm farm and farming some moar. Not to say you do Trojan just that it's still done.
