I think it's absolute garbage the way the beast is set up. The whole point in LG gear was to add content to the game for the players who have hit cap and are running out of things to do. It only makes sense that killing the beast should be an accomplishment requiring both strategy and skill to achieve, not just sending in wave after wave of players to die in hopes that you will be the last one.
I believe that the beast should be killable in one battle using a team of 3 capped toons. Start to finish. Full HP to death. The way it is currently set up is more of a lottery and I personally think it's horsecrap.
Secondly, I think that the beast should be harder to find. It should roam the map in areas that are not accessible to low-mid level players. Once it kills, it should automatically relocate to another area of the map so that you don't have 982734 people piled on one square waiting to kill it.

Sourgrapes from Roo when he isn't the winner. And everybody is shocked. If it was nothing but the best teams getting beast kills then Roo would be whining that it's not fair that only the strong get stronger.

Quit trolling my theads and give some productive input. I'm not participating in beast hunts anymore until it requires something other than the pulling of a name from a hat. Never once have I complained because someone else's toon is stronger than mine. It takes effort to build a good toon.

It's not nearly as random as you're pretending. The team that killed the beast this time did something like 60k damage compared to the average of <2k damage dealt by the teams that go in there with no strategy or skills. The more damage you do the more likely you'll run into the beast when he's low enough for you to kill. Your system replaces the queue system with some super random beast locating system, it solves nothing.

lol @ Roo, if a team of 3 capped toons could kill it in one go it wouldnt be very legendary now would it , i've seen some of these "capped" in arena and hmust be just short for handycapped ;P
what is absolute garbage though is when you waste the time to go to beasts location and queue and then just watch as same teams fight it time and time again while you wait with no fights , well i know i'm not alone in saying i'm not gonna bother with the beasts no more and i even notice alot that already decided that because the amount of people fighting it l8ly has reduced alot it seems ..
gonna be pretty funny when the beast has to just start going around killing cause there will be a queue of 3 teams lol ;P

yep i was there from when the beast was at 65%hp and queued and not a single fight? just waste of my time .... you say team that does most damage gets in faster so i guess unless your one of the first fighters you would have no chance to catch up to there damage so no fights as long as they keep comeing back and queueing huh ? nice .... yet another bias favortism system put into play.
so now just no chance to get a kill even if your one of the top teams if you get there late after another top team has accumulated enough damage to outrank you in queue it seems , gonna be funny watching those 3 top teams having to fight it 100 times by themselves when everyone else figures how pointless it is to try then

Well, i dunno about others, and there may be something wrong, but when we Qed we were always after those teams that we knew that were there first, and we knew more or less exactly when our time was coming... so if there is a fluke it must be minor. I saw ppl complaining that the delay between our death and our next forcing was too short, but when the beast went down to the dungeon, we died, recalled and didnt even heal, he went and forced till our time came (and this gave us enough to recover half hp, in my case at least, so we waited alot, since we recovered like 2k, 3k hp while regening)... anyhow, what i think is, luck is needed for timing, but dont expect a weak team to get there and do any relevant damage, since many capped players who go there without a tanker die instantly... if the "weak" team kills it is because they got it with nearly to no hp left, and since hp taken from beast is relevant regarding the Q order, i will find it very unlikely in the future... thank you all, take care

Well what we mean is that we were already queue'd then you died... then before we got to fight you killed it. There was an issue with queue, glitch is fixing it.

It's really hard to take a side on the queue issue. On one side, a team that did 75k damage could end up losing their kill to a group of level 70s who manage to do the last 1k. On the other side, a team that gets there early and consistently does damage makes it impossible for other teams to even have a chance.

I could be misinterpreting glitches post but I think that damage doesn't have to do with spot in queue.
You queue you are after the person that queued ahead of you. What he means is if a team does 60k damage that is a 60k damage window for the beast to die, if a team does 2k damage that is a very small window 'specially if the beast has 55k hp left and they both are queued guess who will get the kill? The lower level teams only queue for a CHANCE to get the final 2k because that is all they can do, like .1% of the total health. While a decent team can do 60k PER death which can be a few %'s.
Quit whining and do more damage

There was a lot of queue confusion and speculation when the queues were not working right. They've been fixed and you enter combat in the order you get in line. When you fight the creature you have to come back and force on him again and you get in the back of the line.
