Chanzy, Hionnn, Hionmaiden Banned for Scamming/Char Theft

Perma-banning paying, active players over some items or characters that can rather easily be replaced, even if not by Glitchless, but by the offender still isn't justified.

A week long bann would vividly get the point across to the offender and the hungry eyes of the public. Not like he was botting or hacking the servers.

I know the bannhammer is fun the play with, and looks awesome and shiny, but it should be a little more restrained for the sake of the community. it's like giving the offender life in prison or the death penalty for retail theft.

Just my opinion. No offense in any way intended.

If it was as easy as you think it is to just undo the damage done to a character and roll things back the way they were without resulting in potential exploits of duplicated items then we might have different policy regarding the punishments for stuff like this. The truth is it is extremely difficult and can take hours of admin time to undo all the trades and interactions that took place. And it is impossible to do it without affecting potentially innocent characters in the process.

There were no less than 7 different characters involved during the transactions that resulted from this mess. How would you like your honest transactions with player X reversed when he was flagged as an involved party? What if that transaction was 10 TCs that he gave to you and you paid a separate uninvolved character after you received it? You'd be out 10 TCs and there's no way our system would know to reverse the payment to the uninvolved character that you sent payment to.

It opens the door to so much more potential scamming trying to reverse these things that there is no clean solution other than banning all parties involved that we can see 100% broke rules that we consider bannable offenses.

... gonna reveal a big secret: I got most of my pkk's after sending a nude pic of my willy to the pkr seconds before engaging combat. They were all in shock & awe, ánd jealous that they never fought back.

Glitchless, I do not have any experience in your field, I honestly have no clue how long or how much work it would take to fix something like this. I also clearly understand your position.

I apologize for making it seem as though your job was simple.

i feel that given what i have read in here and what i saw in various chats today does warrant further investigation of the initial toon in question and all thier alts

perhaps also a temp ban on on the account ( and all alts) the other scamming accusations were made against which is something other games do in this type of situation

not saying either person is right or wrong just going for the full fair play on this

It's easy to not get banned! Even by Embla's antics!

Simple. You do what I've done.

First day Embla joined my arena team (with Chanzy, before he left for an extended period, yeah, ouch for me now arena-wise), first thing s/he said to me "Hey, can you login to my character to see what's wrong with it and tell me how to build my charatcer?"

And I said: NO.

Repeat request. Repeat rejection, ad nauseum. Offers of recompense "in a photographic way" (copyright C in circle, Roeth Incorporated. All rights reserved.). Again, emphatic rejection. Repeat ad nauseum.

And then, since Embla would not stop? I iggied. And reported her to my clan chief who had a nice talk to "her".


And wow. the requests stopped. I un-iggied (you know, arena needs and all), and we've all been hunky dory ever since.

I didn't get scammed, and I didn't get banned. And all was happy and....fraternal.

If you don't wanna get banned or scammed, don't login to other chars, even when they make these kind of offers. It's just frickin' silly and yer asking for trouble.

And then when you DO want revenge, for <bleeps> almight sake, do NOT login to the character you are babysitting, and tell others yer about to do it! That immediately gets the toon sitted character banned, which is just totally uncool.
I mean the guy was already wondering "What reasons to I have to play Nodiatis?" Now you just gave him the answer. NONE.

Just saying that i consider hion to be a 100% trustable and worthy-to-the-game player.

I'm totally convinced he got into other player's strategy to get scammed as people are saying in this thread, of course as karrodin says hion had the option to not get into that.

So just pointing that i'm sad seeing hion banned, nothing more to say, if what it's written in this thread about that other char is true, i hope he gets ignored by all players (at least i'll do) and get what he deserves in a future (ban, pk, whatever).

I'm also really sorry for Chanzy, if you ever return to nod i'll try to help you as best as i can.

Chanzy should be unbanned assoon as the real owner provides email access. As I did nothing on that account, all I did was trade an R9 flame call aura to chanz to give to one of players that embla had previously scammed, I also did talk on it about what I was planning to do. but thats it, the rest is all on me.

First of, My alt Hionnn, was either banned purely because jeff doesn't want me playing again (IP BAN? but nope) Or he banned any toon that I had logged onto that day. Which seems rather unfair? My alt did nothing that day, I hadn't logged him for two weeks, then I log him yesterday to get a static boss so I could tank it.

Maybe both my toons deserve to be banned, but I only had one good toon. I worked on one toon, not multiple. How does Embla have so many fully upgraded toons? ask yourself the same question, and you'll eventually realize. What I did was my own making, I take the blame for it. I'll only tell three people in-game what my new toon's name shall be, and thats it. I don't see the point, seeing now that all these people take me for blame, when really it's been Embla all along.

It's tempting to log embla.. kill her and give the items to people she had previously scammed? So I did that. Now my email to glitch hasn't been looked at, or glitch doesn't care. Maybe it wasn't enough evidence.. I had plenty more to add which could be a cause for ban even, but I won't bother providing you with anything, seeing as you don't care. I may be a bad player for this, but it's not like I hacked Chanzy, he still has all the stuff on him like he previously had, many would of marveled at the 9+ mil gold he would of left. I'm guessing the third one, since he blatantly said there wasn't enough evidence. And if your email was filled with the same flawless logic you're showing here, I can see why.

Nod is not a popularity contest. You scammed someone out of account details, killed their toon and stole their stuff. Being "good as gold" "most of the time" won't make up for that.

They GAVE me there password, I never asked for it. Embla also asked many people if they could 'log embla' and see her build and what was wrong, it's also one of the reasons that lady was banned... Helzing knew lady's pass, helzing then logged all of embla's toons and traded all the items to lady to make it look like lady hacked/scammed. I know what I'm talking about, you haven't seen the email I sent to glitch you freaking retard

To answer this question: You are allowed exactly 1 forum account. All other accounts are banned as soon as they are recognized as a second account. It's in the Terms of Use if you ever bother to read them.... Which apparently you still haven't.
