Purchase One Option AH
I've pretty much stopped responding to people who want stones made because it's not feasible to stock a huge variety of materials for all occasions and it is such a hassle to buy 'just one' resource from someone in AH. Most times they are unattended storage alts and I don't need to buy a stack of 100 tier 17 ingots just to make one stone. Not too mention that if an enchanter buys the whole stack they have to tie up THEIR on-hand gold until they use up or resell the leftovers from the stacks.
Proposed change:
When you left-click on the stack, you have the option of 'purchase stack' or 'message seller'. I propose adding a 'purchase one' option. The seller receives the per item amount of gold and the overall auction price is reduced by that amount.
Reasoning:
Most recipes and stones only require 1-3 of the high cost resources. The tier 1 resources are relatively cheap and can be resold quickly. Although 'purchase x amount' may be better, adding just a 'purchase one' option would be a simple tweak to implement and resolve the most frustration.
Please help those of us who genuinely like to help other players to help other players.

I support this.
Coded so:
When 1 item is bought, the buyer pays the extra gold for uneven gold per piece costs.
The total price is lowered by the amount, minus the extra gold.
Items worth less than 10 gold automatically go up to 10 gold (so the buyer gets something from the sale - anyways, a stack of 105 less-than-10-gold items is worth less than 1K, hardly worth noting)
Could be added: Make the cost a bit steeper (10% ?) - some people sell huge stacks cheap because they want to sell the huge stack. You make them lose their time by buying only 1, might as well compensate by giving gold back

I don't think the 10% surcharge is necessary.
For one, it makes the upgrade more complicated then it needs to be. It's generally easier to get a small change implemented when it's simple.
Secondly, I don't think it is necessary. The lowest priced items will sell faster regardless of whether it is one at a time or in bulk. In fact, I would say it would sell faster because the size of the stack is getting smaller and more affordable to someone who wants to stock up a bit (how many people need 90+ of a tier 20 item, regardless of the price?).
I just don't think there is as many 'bulk discounters' as there are people needing stones made on a daily basis. A patch like this addresses one of the more commonly complained about frustrations involved with the game. Personally, I think that outweighs a fraction of gold more or less.

This has been suggested like a billion times. Everyone supports it as well.
It would be nice if Glitchless just came out and said: it is not possible because of coding limitations or something along these lines.
If implementing it is no big deal, then I don't see why it can not be implemented. This is one of the most asked for features on these forums and it seems like a simple fix.

We will consider this. We'll have to make the cost round up to avoid paying less per 1 than the whole stack.

I don't much care about this suggestion but I've been watching it and I think everyone appreciates getting a response of some sort. It's better to get a "maybe" or even a "no" than silence.

Make it cost AT LEAST more than 2 gold, else, the seller will get 0 gold for the items he sold for 1 gold because of tax.
Read my variation of the suggestion above to counter a few possible problems.
