Default Better questing

Hi all,

I'd love to see a quest system implemented that goes beyond the collection, killing and boss quests. I'm not sure how...I'll leave that to smarter people. But it would be cool to have quests that have a storyline.

Well how about this thought... A series of crafting quests, or quests that involve the foreging, woodcutting, mining etc. Involveing all aspects of the game in quests....

Or you could play it up on the boss quests.... Have an item that needs to be retrived from a boss, making it so you have to kill multiple of the same boss, or some other token.... (Speaking to a captured person or something like that)

There are many options out there when you discuss quests.... I think it would just take time for more types of quests to arise, but I say the sooner the better, becasue as time goes on I get stronger and the weak quests would be worthless to me....

I'd just like to see it stop telling me to go into a place that's 5 levels below me for mobs that don't drop anything.

i'd suggest u talk to the seer again, the minimum quests the seer gives u are from greens 3 lvls below u

I found that out, because I missed the Fisherman boss quest. I just think that many pepole would enjoy another type of quest, like crafting or searching for something....

You are behind then, because all the quests I get from the Seer are usually 2-3 levels over me when I get them.

Even something as simple as the old "quest mob" quests from MUDs would be good. Give us a list of items to gather (perhaps spawning special quest mobs in the areas) and a timer. We get the items back to the quest mob in a particular town in time and ~voila~ we just completed a quest. Travel through different areas also allows for the PKers to have at us which makes it even more exciting. Just a thought ...

Hmm, there's a storyline on the forum. I hope we will get quests that allow us to follow the plot. It'd take a while to prepare that, though.

We could then add quests like: "Take this item and hand it over to <npc_name> in the <area_name>. Give him a day to prepare a <mixture_name> and bring it back to me." Such quests could bring you more than gold, maybe some items that could be used to (for example) enchant another item of your choice. So much could be done in that matter. I think it'd be fun.

Then again, I'd feel sorry for all the people who got far and would have to get back to (let's say) Castille and do some catching up.

Indeed like ur fighting these 2 guys, and u kill one , but the other gets away and comes back to kill u with friends, etc. ,etc.
