I remember that dungeon. Definately worth it.
Make it so every 10 levels, the boss fight has a higher chance to give out a random epic of its level that would actually be kept after the dungeon (making the dungeon worthwhile for lowbies too!)
Alternatively, you could make it so the game asks for how many levels you wish to go through, and gain an epic of that level once you beat the last boss.
I like the idea of completely random drops throughout the dungeon though, as long as you keep those as temporary stuff.
