Top 16 Teams Eligible
Group Stage:
Group A: 1st, 2nd, 15th , 16th
Group B: 3rd , 4th, 13th, 14th
Group C: 5th , 6th , 11th, 12th
Group D: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th
Group stage is round robin, top two teams advance. 3rd place teams from each group compete in another round robin tourney to determine 9th-12th positions. 4th place teams from each group compete to determine 13th-16th positions.
Quarterfinals (single elimination):
A: Winner of Group A plays 2nd place of group D
B: Winner of Group B plays 2nd place of group C
C: Winner of Group C plays 2nd place of group B
D: Winner of Group D plays 2nd place of group A
Semifinals:
1. Winner of Quarterfinal A plays winner of Quarterfinal C
2. Winner of Quarterfinal B plays winner of Quarterfinal D
Losers in Quarterfinals play a round robin tourney to determine 5th-8th positions.
Finals:
Winners of Semifinal 1 play winners of Semifinal 2. Best of three matches determines the winner.
Losers in Semifinals play single match to determine 3rd and 4th positions.
