Default New Gem idea

Seriously, this would make me ultra happy and would be good for the rest of us who tend to be the first priority target in most any fight.

Suggestion - A gem that is say Psych Magic, that allows the caster to defer his "aggro" to the target. So for instance, if I am grouped with Zenga and I cast this gem, Zenga the tank takes the hits. This would help to alleviate the issue for some of us that our tank nevers gets lucky with gem draws and pulls a taunt when were down to 15hp.

This would allow me to actually do something worthwhile, instead of spending all my energy healing myself. It's just not efficient.

Tell "Zenga" to buy a Taunt gem in the first town.

Irregardless of how many gems you have, you almost never get the gem you need when it matters most. The ability to have a mob attack someone other than you, would be advantageous, in certain scenarios.

Thats Phat for you. Immediattly dismisses anyone else's ideas and problems because he is apparently just so awesome.

Personally I think its a great idea. Since Zenga, even with his taunt gems, wont have the capability of taunting for long, nor will he have the draw speed needed.

While the caster will have the ability to keep up his energy/mana and has a quicker capability of drawing gems.

And with two of them together, they can keep the monster aggro on the tank.

The basic taunt gems found in T2 taunt for 12 seconds. I have found the average gem draw to be one per 5 seconds. Easy fix? Tanks fill bags with 50% taunts. But that is a bit extreme. As they go up in level, they can access better taunts that last longer. That means more time can be spent waiting for the next taunt to appear. Just fill your pouch with an amount of taunt gems inversely proportionate to their durations.

As for those who would be getting killed if the tank doesn't taunt right... make sure you group with people who are prepared for the mission.

totally of subject of taunt gems. I have an idea for gems. There should be some consumable gems that provide extra xp in skills.

Ehlmaris,

I see that alot of tanks are using Auras and HoT's and Heals, as well as taunts. I'm just suggesting that some people have a style of play, this would help to alleviate having to completely off that style. I generally played a "support" role in other games, and part of that role would be to help defer some aggro to someone who is equipped to take that punishment.

I have found that most of the classes can take a pretty good beating, but everybody needs some healing every now and then.

So what I am trying to say is that no matter whether you are support or what, you should be able to take a beating. No matter what class you are, there is no disability in your protection skills (now a Guardian gets better), and you will probably need some healing skills; say if you can't find anyone doing the same thing that you are doing and you have to Solo.

When grouping, everyone should be able to help each other out. I have three characters that I play grouped together, and all three have good protection skills (mostly high suiting) and all three are capable of healing, as they have an equal amount of healing gems and DoT gems.
