Slashers need boosting badly

OK since I think few can disagree slashers are needing a boost next now, I thought I start a thread to get it started and brought under attention. So here goes:

Boo hiss waaaaa cry moan whine casters, archers, crushers and BM OP! Slashers suck, need boosting. More boos, hisses, waaas, cries, moans and whines about previously mentioned. SLASHERS NEED BOOSTING.

repeat repeat repeat etc.

Slashers have excellent dps, obviously they're not quite as good in pvp as crushers are and they don't have the dps of a caster but they're a good weapon, they don't need a buff anymore than any other weapon type does.

I came across a caster doing a 2k hit with their staff...on top of that they have gems their main weapon... show me how to come close with a slasher and gems to that kind of dps and I will agree with you hotshot64.. till that day I say bs on slashers having great dps

They have more dps than a crusher and i was a crusher for a long time without bitching about them being slow, if you don't like your class just reroll like everyone else.

what is happening to slashers is exactly what already happened to archers... fading away one by one until they get their own Bladaw!

Won't see me rerolling until this game is 100% balanced. And your terribly wrong Daer.. Slash has DECENT DPS. I don't care what the number crunchers come up with either. Slash is lacking, and tis very evident.

And this is coming from someone with nearly 94+ in ALL melee skills, something you surely didn't even come close to when you were a crusher.

Crushers: great PvP, excellent farm speed, lacking dmg. vs high mobs/bosses
Piercers: decent PvP, good farm speed, excellent vs high mobs/bosses
Whip+pets (w/o rabid): excellent PvP, lacking - decent farm speed, decent vs high mobs/bosses
SLASHERS: great PvP, great farm speed, good vs high mobs/bosses

slashers are the middle ground... other weapon types have high highs and low lows as far as their strong pts. and weaknesses. Slashers on teh other hand are good at just about everything, they have no real weaknesses to speak of, yet they will never be excellent 1st prize beauty queen king of the castle.

thats the way ive always seen slashers, based on the skills alone.

you have Crushers with skills to increase MAX.
you have Piercers with skills to increase MIN.
you have slashers with skills to increase BOTH.

wouldnt that mean they are in the middle on their own??

slashers dont need a buff

I disagree Smash. Dual wield slashers are garbage now compared to other classes and it isn't just slashers. It is dual wield completely that has been left behind. If dual wield is as great as everything else then explain why there are 4 x 1H 99 pierce tp's on AH? DD's and 2H weapons are the best now and DOT's and Archery is catching up. Glitchless only needs to do some serious testing of dual wields to see that this is true.

I once again stand by my comment that my BM with 6 billion less XP can farm North Lake in heroic but my dual wield slasher struggles. The one I just rerolled to a 2H piercer also kills way quicker than my dual wield slasher.

And WTF is with this comment...you are saying that everyone should reroll to the OP classes rather than the developers fix the underpowered classes. What do you want...a whole game of BM dual whip wielders and DD casters?

Slashers do not have excellent DPS. (Neither do piercers, but that's another rant.) Crushers have great, heavy damage. Piercers aren't as good for damage (in my limited experience) but have massive bloodlets. Slashers are like DoTs before the DoT buffs. They have slow, weak, constant damage.

OMFG. You see Glitch? You see why I hate buffs? Every ****ing time someone gets buffed EVERYONE ELSE smells the blood in the water and comes swarming in for a portion. Why don't you whiny little children just stfu and play the game? It's not so hard, you put trophies in, you click autoattack, you kill. Everyone thinks their build is underpowered, if you don't like it, reroll to something else and stfu.

Exactly... thats why buffs are a good thing...not a bad thing... w/o buffs... everyone WOULD reroll, probably to casters... w/o constant balancing and rebalancing of the build/classes/weapons, everyone would choose the one that players figure out how to take advantage of the best, and hardly any other builds would be seen. BUT... IMO...slashers are fine.

You make a good point about buffs, however this isn't one of those "look at these numbers, there's obviously a problem" threads, it's a "ZOMG I KNOW THIS GUY WHO KILLS FASTER THAN ME AND I WANT TO BE BUFFED SO BUFF ME PLOX" thread.

OK,let us use your own logic here- If DW slashers are so good,why dont you reroll into one?
