All the points you make totally don't affect you, if you iggy list the player who bothers you.

Your travel gear gripe solved. http://nodiatis.wikia.com/wiki/Travel_Gear.

Unless you are Glitchless, you will never have to deal with anyone requesting a refund.

Sounds like you a having a whinge for the sake of having a whinge / getting onside with the "cool kids".

Maybe just hire someone to play the game for you?

This idea kind of misses the point of the game imo; the fun is in the journey, not the destination.

Its not about me, I am enjoying the journey, its about prosposing a concept to assist more new players to get into / stick with the game.

but thats the point, it wouldnt, it would allow people to buy them, (cheaper alts) and then if new people bought them, they would have no experience to back up what they are doing, therefore they would get stuck, and would end up giving up

Can you please specify the parts of the game that they would get "stuck" and would cause them to give up?

How does this differ from a player having to learn the same things through clannies, civil, forums, wiki, experience.... albeit over a longer time range if starting from level 1?

No ****. That is why I have stated previously that the out of the box toon requires a lot of effort to make decent, but it does remove a significant barrier to entry for alot of potential customers for Glitchless - limited time.

I specifically choose such a narrow skill set of packaged xp in my original post, so that it wasn't just pay some money be uber.

What it does do, is pay some money to some a significant amount of time but still require a lot of effort to be an *ok* capped player, and ALOT of effort to be uber.

cant work on it, if you cant farm it.

they would have trouble with every aspect of the game, besides level. the same as every other new player has, but instead of fighting easy mobs, it would be harder mobs, with next to no skills and cause them to get pwned, and then they would cry the game is too hard and blah blah blah

Well Trx, you posted an idea.

Every single person that has read and commented on it thinks it is a bad idea.

Yet you keep on insisting they are wrong, and you are right.

I've not seen much in terms of 'flaming' either, it's mostly been reasoned discussion of WHY it's a bad idea, rather than 'Its a bad idea, go diaf'.

My suggestion is to stop flogging what appears to be a dead horse, and look at your whole principle again, from scratch.

I don't like it and I think glitchless wouldn't like it simply because nod is for hardcore players and lots of hardcore players spend thousands before they're ever capped.

I don't know. I'm having second thoughts about this idea.

How is this really any different than a mid to high level player who gives away their character to a friend or family member who has never played this game? We all know that does happen. I'm not talking about a level 85 who quits and gives the character to another level 85, but someone who gives the character to a person who has never played the game. I know of at least half a dozen folks who have mid to high level characters that got them that way, and they don't have a clue what they are doing.

Using the method proposed here, sure, we'd get hit with more folks like that, but at least Glitchless LLC would generate some income. While we play this game to have fun, Glitchless runs this game to make money. Suggestions that improve the cash flow of Glitchless deserve serious consideration. Specially since this one really won't give us anything we don't have now - mid to high level players who don't have a clue how to play the game. And if we don't enjoy interacting with those players, we can simply ignore them.

This does deserve a re-examination.

alot of the pre-existing toons spend alot of cash on them, alot more then the prices that were listed, which means glitch would actually lose cash this way. and on top of all that, the toons that are given away like you said, arent a few skills to player level, they are most all of them, they are self sufficent.

it would also open up a bigger niche for selling and buying toons, which glitchless doesnt want done (hence it being in the ToU/Rules or where ever else it is) despite it being done already.

if this was implemented, it would do nothing to help the game, it would simply ruin it, as people with money to waste buy toons, instead of playing the game and working their way up to the level.
