Java notification
Does anyone else get the message about not having Java, or not having the correct version of Java, whenever you've been logged out for more than a day?
Also, does anyone else have trouble loading Nod after getting that message?
Anyone have any idea why this happens?

I have the most recent version of Java (Version 6 Update 25), as per the Java website (Icheck for updates every time), and my connection at school (where I almost never get the notification) is ALOT slower than my connection at home, most ly because it's shared by more people. Here at home I only have to contend with 2 playstations (not right now, though), and occationally my brother's laptop, which is almost never on any more, because he's never home.

A slow connection will cause it. When starting Nod make sure nothing else is open. If you have a bunch of toolbars and extensions that will slow things down too.

A slow connection can't be the only cause. Like I said, my connection at home is alot faster than my connection at my college, but I almost never get the message while connecting from school. Nod is usually the first thing I open, and thew only thing running in the background is my anti-virus software. Also, this is more of a (relatively) recent problem, starting around the begining of this year (shortly after I got this laptop, but it didn't happen for the first few weeks). Any more sugestions?
Also, I don't know if it makes a difference, but I run Window 7 on this laptop.

Does it eventually go through if you wait or does it just freeze?

I used to get the Java message a lot too, until I found that reloading the page would make Nod work immediately. Not sure what causes it though; I still use the same version of Java and it doesn't give me the message anymore.

Usually if I wait (or click on the notification then wait for a shorter time) then refresh the page, it works. This either isn't 100%, or I screw up the timing sometimes, I'm not sure which, but leaning toward the latter.

Also, I just noticed two of these on my desktop. Not sure if they are related to the problem (it's al greek to me), but if anyone knows what it means, and/or if its related to my problem, please tell me.
