Restriction of Boon

as it was before, it would take ages to get to be able to craft the top epics in the game, like months after each upgrade, cause of the time needed to spend putting skills, and rt (if crafting for the exp) to get the skill levels.

naturalist came along, so did the invention rune, which made it easier, but you still needed to put time and effort into nat and the crafting skill, aswell as get into a decent clan with a decent invention rune, just to be able to do it.

and now boon came along, and with triple the exp, you can get there super fast, super easy. therefore taking away from those that have spent lots of time and effort getting their resource/crafting/artistry skills up there.

my suggestion:

remove boon from the following sections:

learning
crafting
artistry
resourcefulness
adventuring
social

this way, if you want to be able to craft a legendary essence, you have to work for it, not reroll and passive it up, if you want to craft 99 epics you have to work for it. if you want to craft 99 2h weapons you have to actually walk 5000 times to push for 100 item stacking.

stop handing things to people, and make them work for it.

to further add to this, boon currently effects everything, but upon reroll you keep all non combat skills. (all the sections i listed above)

if boon is to be kept the same as it is, meaning everything is 3* the exp. then remove all skills upon reroll, not just the combat ones. make it a true reroll again, and give them the bonus then to help get EVERYTHING back to where it was, instead of getting the skill to cap, rerolling and making a weaker toon that is solely for crafting items that you got the skills for from boon.

then remove it on PK aswell.

make it so that those skills only gain at normal speed (taking skills into account).

dont give anyone the ability to passive them faster, or gain more exp then others, simply cause they are booners or Pkers. make everyone that wants it, work for it.

this isnt really effective anymore, as you need to renew once a week, and can still be killed then, but to fix this, instead of removing the exp gains, make the Pks have to renew every 2 days instead.

but then it hurts new people even more cause others have already sat as pks and got high weapon crafting like tygerwulf for example so i think its to late to change anything now live with it and enjoy that more peolle can craft the stuff
and 1 person cant control the market price at rediculous prices

basically too ****ing bad.

the same thing has happened before, like with using 2 silks to level enchanting and then being reported.

or the looting epics with an alt that has virts to sell it.

or the morro patch.

for something to get fixed, new people will always get screwed.

people have compained about boon since it came out lol people are abusing it to get a few skills to 99 etc this is no different ..... and keeping non combat skills was implemented b4 boon
didnt glitch say somin along if boon is so oped use it then?

yes but he has also said he wants crafting and resourcing to be a viable part of the game, which is why people do that, and have spent 2 years+ doing it. why should they get screwed over by people that want a quick buck.

yes it was put in before boon, but boon isnt properly thought out, as why should you get a bonus for rerolling, to skills that you never rerolled??

personally, if you ask me, they should remove the ability to delevel all skills besides the 4 stat based skills, so that the abuse of boon cant be taken advantage of as much.

I always thought the 3x boon passive bonus to skills you keep after rerolling was kind of bs, but don't think the pks should be nerfer futher as you started getting into in this thread.

look people earned the xp combat or non and glitch said reroll delvl put it wherever u want already like dlvlind socials to extend boon brought up how many times now?

to me this is like when PLing got changed, and i don't like it, do not support

i left Pks alone in the OP cause of that, despite what i think of the Pk system, this thread originally had nothing to do with it.

and ld, no not an enemy at all, actually it was a friend that done this recently, and i disagree with it. this thread is the direct result of a heated discussion in the SYNOD clan chat.

in short, people feel that this is ruining the game, and some are considering quitting unless something is done. im not going to name names, as that is their call. but im far from the only person that feels this way. more would prob post on it given time

well boon was horrible from the get go i agree there but we were told use it take advcantage of it etc so i think it late to take it away seriously what would u do say if u rerolled ur toon to raise crafting even higher then they changed it lol

adapt change and move on. the same thing you have to do with every other patch.

and yes he said to take advantage of it, but how is anything meant to progress for the better of the player base if suggestions like this arent suggested?

i didnt like boon from the ztart and kept zaying itz unfair with the peoplez who got there zkillz with hardwork

itz not juzt u and me zamzh look around there lotz of peoplez whoz zkillz dont mean much now coz boon babiez got it eazier

for ezample peoplez like zanlucifer/kyron etc etc thoze farmed long and hard to get 99 zkillz while boon babiez get it 3timez eazier than them

tbh i gaveup on crying abt boon i think itz only purpoze it to help zlow kidz that cant get there zkillz up eazily

i have no problem with them getting the skills up that they lost, i think thats fair, despite the obvious pain part of level 70s running around with 99 weapons and gear and ****.

but the non combat skills arent lost, therefore they should have no bonus. some of them already have a reduced penalty so that its easier, now this is making it even easier.
