Default 2nd Tier Skillz?! NO! 2nd Generation Skillz!

As many of the capped players are getting skill after skill close to or at lvl 100, what to do now?....
  • get skill after skill to 100 until all skillz are there?
  • Add more skillz to train?
  • sell trophies and focus on gold to acquire legendary gear?
  • etc...

New skillz would be the best solution in my mind, but not just any 'type' of skillz... I mean, we already haz base skillz, lv 20, lv 40, lv 60, and lv 80 skillz. And I really don't want a cap raise... I mean, unless the map is GREATLY expanded, I dun want to have a walk in the park to get to Draak. There are only a few zones left, and if a few 'special' skillz were implemented, just maybe, some of us could make it there with out too much of a push/help.

SO... here's my idea:

new skillz would be unlocked once u got the prerequisite skill to level 100 (also an incentive to do the 99 hell level).

Examples of Skillz:

Homing Gems: (Tunnel Vision 100, Perseverence 100, Longevity 100)
- Every level in this skill increases a gem's chance to hit the target by .25% but uses .30% more energy and mana.
Vigor: (DualWield 100 OR Two Handed 100, Vengeance 100)
- Every point in this skill gives upto .25% haste to melee (.60% haste to 2h'ers), not including staffs or whips, depending on players hp%, opposite vengeance, and Agility.
Heart of a Tiger: (Vengeance 100) - Every level in this skill provides the vengeance skill to effect with 1% more HP at your disposal. At level 100 Vengeance will be at 100% effect at 40% of your HP (assuming Veng' is at 100% at 20% HP)...
Bonding: (Petsmanship 100, Stalking 100) - Every point in this skill allows you to bond with your pets, allowing them to anticipate your commands, giving them a .20% haste per level.
Whiplash: (Whips 100, Double Attack 100) - Every level in this skill gives .10% chance for each double attack performed by a whip to hit an additional 3rd time. With this skill maxed, each whip will have a 10% chance when double attacking, to attack for a third time.
Triple Parry: (Dual Parry 100, Double Attack 100) - Every level in this skill grants a .40% chance when dual wielding (slash, crush or piercing weapons excluding whips) to parry the next attack after performing a double attack.
Back Thrust (Critical Strike 100, Two Handed 100) - Every level in this skill provides an additional .35% chance to double attack with two-handed weapons. This second attack is cutting back through the enemey and negates all AC and has an additional .25% per level chance for a crit. 1% per level in this skill to perform a backthrust on opening hit of battle. (This 2nd strike is still mitigated by angelic aura and potions that mitigate your damage).
Desperation (Slashing 100 OR Piercing 100 OR Crushing 100 or Whips 100, Strikethrough 100, Vengeance 100) - Every level in this skill provides upto a .35% to attack all enemies with melee weapons (double when using 2H'ed weapons). Like Vengeance, this skill is maxed when you are near death, and works more efficiently the less % of total HP you have.
Overcharge (Destruction 100, applicable gem's Magic 100) Every point in this skill provides a .15% chance when using a recastable DD gem that the gem over charges, amplifying its damage by .40%, but the gem returns back to your pouch and you are hit with a .25% recoil.
Solid Ground: (Suiting 100, Blocking 100, Testudo 100) - Every level in this skill provides a .20% chance for a 275 damage fading absorption shield to occur for every successful block.
Negation (Repel 100, Grey Magic 100) - Every point in this skill amplifies resistance auras by .10%. With only this skill and repel maxed w/ a rank5 aura, this grants your group an additional 67.6% resistance to harmful magical effects.

I love the idea of somewhere to go, BUT I also think we have grown so much against mobs it's ridiculous. If new skills to kill faster were implemented...it's too much. So mobs would need a buff. Maybe open up a new area when you have a certain number of skills @ 100, and your "second generation" skills are only in effect in that area

I was thinking of skills that required prerequisites. I love how a couple of my skills made the list though slightly modified

Support btw,

the idea behind buffing the player base is so there is no cap raise... so one day... some ppl can make it to Draak w/ current settings... except for these 2nd generation skillz

You can make it to Draak now, all you need is travel gear and to remember to run from the mobs. It will be a long time before people can actually farm there.

It is an interesting post but due to the damage that the mobs hits you with, these new skills would not be of much help on that side of the map. I only see them as being a buff to the current farming areas, and these mobs die fast enough as is.

It is a fair point about skills getting maxed out at 100, at some point in the not so distant future, we will all be asking " what's next?"

i lik ethe suggestion, i just dont like the skills.

most every 1 of those skills seem OP to the max, like Vigor, a 60% haste to 2h weapons?!?!

based with the haste BP, quicksteel and that skill you could make the 99 2h pierce, with a delay of 37, have a delay of like 14.

Maybe

Thick Skin (Suiting 100)
Level 40 Protection

Every point in this skill adds 5 points of innate armor class.

Blessed Armor (Suiting 100, Combat Endurance 100, Battle Mending 100)
Level 80 Protection

Every point in this skill adds a 0.25% bonus to your total armor class and further increases in combat health regeneration by 0.1%

Stone Skin (Suiting 100, Blocking 100, Testudo 100)
Level 80 Protection

Every point in this skill grants a 0.15% damage mitigation.

Something like these would help,

bump... we need skillz w/ lv 100 skill prereq's... these 2nd Generation skills will be opened up to only the elite of the elite, who have gotten the prereq skills beyond player level, thru the 90s, and past that last hell level. I do agree, for high-end farming/boss hunting/princess saving???... not only must you kill faster... but more protection skills are indeed needed.

Its a great concept and all... yeah, lacking in protection, but that doesn't mean someone can't just be like "oh well we should try this!" and then post their protection ideas... besides, it'll get Glitch brainstorming on some of his own and you know he'll change numbers around.
Just having the basic descriptions there is good enough to get the ball rolling.
