Maybe add a sticky in forums where you can list volunteers who are willing to help. Can leave their in game name times they play and maybe like their area of expertise (melee, caster, crafting, etc. etc.)

problem with that is not all new people will visit the forums first.

and tj, i do believe that i said, most (not all) which means tical would be in the not all section.

Oh I know. I meant on top of adding Player Guides (titles a new help chat etc. etc.) It just would be one extra area for people to help.

Rawr takes new players too We're just selective about them. We try to find the ones who are actually around to play the game. not new accounts who just like to troll the hell out of any chat box the come across online.

I think that more/better newb guides would be more helpful to new players than flagging people as helpers and such.

I like the idea of being able to turn rune drops into clan RP also, would help encourage the recruitment of Ns and new players into clans if they are able to contribute via this method.

Right. This would go a long way towards keeping the type of players you want,since most of the ones who just instantly pop up in chat at level 1 begging for help aren't the type to stick around and play the game anyway.
