The only cost was 60k for the dusts and, to be honest, I had most of the dusts from previous items I'd dismantled.

Once the tp was made, the mats to make the item were minimal (if I remember rightly it was resins, a t30 bone and for the leggings/sleeves an additional dye/cloth). Cost me between 400k and 500k - making total outlay under 600k per item.

I'm not sure I would agree that the legendary suits are WAY better. The caster suit that Glitchless is sporting is pretty tasty, I admit. But at a cool 24m for the entire suit, I'm not so sure.

The level of the suiting (95) is a concern for me, especially as I would often be fighting against mobs higher than that level.

I have to say though, the fact that they are store bought is a massive, massive let down. How are they legendary when all or you need to equip them is money? We're told that some legendary suits will drop, but the rate they will drop is such that some may never drop (akin to winning the lottery, we're told). A legend should be someone of great achievements, not someone with deep pockets.
Lets all agree to disagree; things that you use = things that you can sell, for instant your dyes so.... i hope u understand that part.

Also what does the lvl 95 has to do? what matter is the lvl of you suiting skill.

And thanks god we agree on the last part of ur post about store bought blabla, however the best legendaries are yet to come and they will blabla let me copy and paste:
"The non-purchased legendaries will come in many varieties and will be so rare that players may never get to discover all of them. Only time will tell... They will be added to the game on April 9th.

Points of view... i still think that 99s are not worth it, even if you resource them cause you can easily sell the resourcers and be almost at the same price as the legendaries if not..10% less but come on... 1 leg gives u 5% chances to crit and 8% damage to dots...( legendary) and a 99 gives u only 2 chances to crit , lol.

honestly... i am glad its 95... if we're fighting in heroic mode to pooooooosibly get a drop.. according to glitche's hints... then heroic 95ish mob sounds better than heroic 99ish mob to me.... quicker kills... faster fights... easier to find groups willing to search for the hidden treasure.

IF ... they drop as all drops have to this date...

I think you are wrong here, mob attack dmg is depending on your suiting skill lvl, not suiting lvl. You can farm event with lvl 1 suiting, but have suiting skill at 99

All this is neither here or there really. All I was doing was responding to someone who said that the 99's cost the same as the legendaries. The legendaries cost double what 99 epics cost (if you pay top prices for your mats, which I didn't). So, I was simply putting them right on that issue.

they dont cost double either.

so based on your viewpoint, you are as bad as those that said it cost the same, cause you are exaggerating to make your point

Look, I explained how much it costs to craft the 99 and compared it to the cost of a legendary - it's double (not how much the 99 cost me because it cost me a lot less). If you want to deride me for being wrong, back it up or your words are meaningless. You're just pissing in the wind.

no you explained how it cost YOU less cause YOU resourced and got favours from friends.

that isnt how it works for everyone.

just cause the mats cost, ino, half of the legendary, doesnt mean the crafter wont charged to make the tp, and then to make the actual item ontop of that.

i craft epic 99 weapons. i get paid 100k just for making it, thats without finding anything or doing anything except making it.

the costs add up, and just cause the price right this second is lower then it was 2 weeks+ ago, when most got their 99 epics, does not make your statement true.

the fact remains, that legendaries cost slightly more then the 99 gear, for bonuses that are ALOT better.

eg:

based on what you say, 1 99 leg is ~ 1.5mil. it gives a 2% bonus to crit.

1 legendary leg costs 3.5mil. and has a 5% bonus to crit, PLUS teh bonus to DoT damage.

just with the crit alone if you work it out based on proc:

the 99 epic leg, which gives a 2% bonus, goes into the legendary proc 2.5 times so that they would both have a 5% crit chance.

if you do that on the price that YOU said, it would cost 3.75mil for the same proc. therefore the legendary works out to be cheaper then the 99 epic.

Actually, I explained how much it cost for me and how much it costs for those who cannot find their own mats. But, it is not easy to make it black and white. thatperson tried to assume a black and white approach, when it is not possible.

But, do you not understand? It works differently for everyone. You have assumed the position that the most costly way of making 99 epics as the standard cost of making 99 epics.

As I say, the costs of making 99 epic suiting differs massively from person to person. More than that, I would wager that almost all, if not all, people who have 99 epic suiting had help from friends. Very, very few, if any, have bought these items in the AH.

In other words I reject any suggestion that most people who have 99 epic suiting have paid the same amount as the cost of legendary suiting. I would also suggest that the vast majority have paid less than 15m for an entire 99 epic suit.

I like your attempt to quantify crit potential - but it is a flawed concept.

More than that, you have picked the one piece of suiting that has a distinct difference in the bonus. Why not talk about the sleeves (both the legendary and the 99 epic have a 3% chance of hitting - no difference at all).

I'll accept that the leggings have a very nice advantage over the 99 epic leggings - even at close to twice the cost. But, I don't believe that the sleeves, helm and even some of the bp's are A LOT better. Not twice the price better anyway.

Also we know there are 15 sets, with 5 tiers available currently per set.
From where Smashbros knows that there are 5 tiers available ?
I want to know for sure, please give me an oficial link where Glitch said that.

OK, ty
I'll believe it when Glitch will write here, in forum, not in civil chat.
Information from civil chat is not there anymore, forum is still here.
Thank you.

I'm not sure about other people, but I have seen the impact of legendaries in the AH already. Demand for items, especially resources, has dropped off a cliff. We are now into a stage where people are saving gold to buy legendaries forcing the Nod economy into a deflationary flux.

If a lot less gold is moving around the Nod economy, then that will be a massive problem for everyone - including Glitch. The 99 tp's were intended to encourage crafting and resources collection and it worked. The legendaries have now rendered the clamour for 99 epic suits defunct as the people who were pushing for 99 epic suits have now switched their attention to purchasing legendaries at exorbitant prices. That will have and, I believe, has had a very negative effect on the flow of gold around the Nod economy.

Ultimately, most high level players will have legendary suits eventually. They won't be special, unique or legendary at all. I worry how it will effect the enthusiasm of players some way off the cap. The end game has just got a little further away and a lot, lot more costly than ever before. That has to zap that enthusiasm for quite a few people.

Well, that makes you a moron then, doesn't it? I can afford legendary. The post wasn't personal at all. It's not about whether I can afford it or not. If what you took from that is "wahhhhhhhhh i cant afford legendary so its bad!!". Then what I get from you isn't worth stating.

Talking to you is like talking to an ignorant 10 year old. I have no idea who you are, so I can only judge you on what you are and you are an ignorant 10 year old.

The funny thing is, you have been sold an almighty crock of cack. Instead of examining it, you are shoving it into your mouth and spitting at anyone who actually questions what you are doing. More fool you, my turd-faced 10 year old, more fool you.

less gold moving around the economy means the gold is worth more thus is actually good for the economy

when it gets to the point where 200k is easy to get the game needs a gold sink ...guess what legendaries were that gold sink ...or would u rather it be like RWK where 1 trillion gold is no big deal?
