Default New Melee Gem - Blood Rage

Since Bow users got two new gems, why not let use melee users get one?

Name: Blood Rage Aura (Rank 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
Cost: 2,500(475)
Weight: 10 Sand
Rarity: Epic
Prereq: Black Magic (25, 40, 55, 75, 85)
Gem Color: Black
Energy Cost: 0 Mana Cost: 0
Effective When in Play
Increase Melee damage by (6%, 7%, 8%, 10%, 13%) at the cost of (20, 25, 30, 40, 50) health. Upkeep every 5 seconds.

Flame all you want cause all I will say to you is: ┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

But you can give all the good stuff too and all have this say is: ^_^

Cause we melee players need a Gem too and you casters aka Glass Canons have enough fire power, so let us melee'rs get something too. And if you think about, loseing health ISNT a bad thing either! At lvl 78, i have almost 10k HP, losing some doesnt hurt one bit! Considering ALL the health regain items/abilitys we have now.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

Melee's don't need a damage boost
your an idiot
Health cost is to low for such a large boost
Your twice an idiot

if this gem was released melee players could over power casters with it and it would make the gap between archers and melees larger. If you are weak enough to ask for something like this that would make you three times an idiot or a retard.

the lvl 96 2h crusher can do 2600, thats without max skills, and thats not an epic.

now seeing that, the 99 epic 2h crusher would be able to do 3k 1 hit, which makes, yes thats right, a 6k double hit.

:O wow who would of thought?!?!

i suggest paying more attention to what happens around you.

btw, im against the main post, as it would make melee too OP.

Just an fyi temari...the 96 2H crusher can crit for 4803. This DOES NOT include a double attack. That would make it 9606. Smash is correct, highest reported is somewhere around 2600, that I've heard anyway. I'm sure there will be higher soon.

A 2nd fyi, the max possible cast from a DD is 4775. Double would be 9550.

I expect you to be switching to 2H sometime soon, now that you know. Cheers

Edit...had a typo, 92 2H changed to 96 2H as it should be.

Does that 4803 include the bloodlets? Also you dont spend 600 mana on the hit either.

Which makes me ask for 50000000th time. Why do 2h'ers complain that they need buffs exactly?

and how long between clicking one dd and another dd and another as they fly out of your pouch when you have ridiculously high gem haste from skills? and you can pump out the same, if not higher damage.

ok lets go down this path,

players have cnt, which reduces the damage of gems.

we also have gem resists gems, skills to resist, plus the added chance to block the gem hits with a sheild. aswell as using an epic pet that will prevent gems thrown at you.

against a meleer you have:

a shield that can block your hits, and parry

also, a melee user will hit more often, as gems have a higher miss rate, also for the recastables, they are sometihng like 10 seconds between casts.

so before you start bitching about how awesome casters are compared to 2h, when the 2h has the possibility to hit harder, and more often with less chance to miss, i think you should wake up and smell some daffodils.
