contravention

ive tried to ask in the game itself but noone could give a straight answer.

What exactly is contravention? it states that i will take more magical damage.
Where do i find it? I have looked at every skill i have.
someone told me that its my magic level. however I am lvl 6 currently with a current lvl 6 magic. and in the scorched lands area and its stills saying this. how do i fix this?

Open Skills Window

Look at the top of the screen -- lots of numbers...these are your stats.

Look for the stat called CNT. The number to the right of it is how high your contravention is. If you contravention is not 100+your player level it may be considered inadequate.

In order to get more CNT, you can level your Defense Stat to put points into it, or you can enchant CNT onto your weapons, armor, etc. but I'm no expert at enchanting.

ok i have raised the magic level in the char and am still raising it higher. the problem is my contravention is still at 100

Contravention is actually a stat skill point under Defense.

not only did i find it but just before you posted again i got the chance to raise it and am no longer getting the msg. thank you guys
