I second this suggestion.

Here's an idea... for vacation mode, simply disable standard or premium status for a period of time. You still get the 1 hour of RT per day, and passive skills go up at the same rate as they would for free accounts. Cannot disable vacation mode for three days. Premium/standard time is not used up until vacation mode is disabled.
Pretty much a consolidation of all the ideas currently posted, but with the 1 hour daily thrown in. :P

vacation mode is a good idea to turn of premium or standard while your on vacation and only gain like free accounts would for the period

i was thinking about this a bit lately so i am adding my spoke here. as i will be going on 2 holidays next year.
1) Vacation minimum 3 days max 14 days. players have to enter number of days for vacation mode.
2) Vacation can either be as follows for free accs.
2a) Passive advancements stop when full RT & RRT is reached.
2b) All skill gains stop completely.
3) For premium accs passive skills advance at free acc rate for 50% of length of vac mode
3a) so a premium acc going on vac mode for 14 days would get free acc rate of passive gains for 7 days
4) For standard accs passive skills advance at half free acc rate for 50% of length of vac mode.
4a) so a standard acc going on vac mode for 14 days would get 50% of free acc rate of passive gains for 7 days

neat idea on all of it
however limiting the "vacation mode" to 14 days would hose those that are military
unfortunately for them when they purchase account times they don't always know at that point they will be going somewhere
i know 2 of those asking mentioning in here are military, even insurance companies do something for them when vehicles have to be stored while they are away
so maybe a couple of vacation options would work a normal one for the person who does a "family" vacation
and a "hibernation" mode for those in the military which once activated couldn't be deactivated for say a month which should give them time to settle, etc

Convenient for those that have "real lives"
But it should be item #54 on Jeff's "to-do" list.

or instead of adding a vacation mode, how about once rrt gets full standard/premium accounts become inactive until rrt starts decreasing again.
obviously passive experience wouldn't be as good, but rather than suspending the account for a few days, you'll get exp, and this solution would prolly be easier to implement.
this wouldn't be able to be abused by anyone, accounts will still be in use until rrt is full, so you're still using your account when you're gone, but it won't be a waste, when you return you'll have tons of time to play and get caught up on lost real time.
what does everyone think about this?

Or one that we can set it for how long we need to go away, then in that time you can set a timer for how long (or to which level) your passive skills will go (all normal speed). you can set it for lets say: Suiting lvl 11
Archery 11
Black magic 11
And then it will follow that program untill you come back b4 it is achieved or if it finishes b4 you are back it will go on on the last skill that was trained

with the lvl 60 skill time hoarding u can now reach 50hrs of rollover cap thats more then 2 weeks on premium, perhaps instead jeff should open the lvl 60 skill (with the same xp needed for a normal lvl 60 skill) at first lvl and remove the normal xp penalties from rollover cap and time hoarding so that people could lvl them as high as they want with learning experience for when they know they need some days off
