Vacation Mode

Yeah I like that one but Glitch wouldn't. How bout this one:

"Here's an idea... for vacation mode, simply disable standard or premium status for a period of time. You still get the 1 hour of RT per day, and passive skills go up at the same rate as they would for free accounts. Cannot disable vacation mode for three days. Premium/standard time is not used up until vacation mode is disabled."

Allows those of us who are getting deployed, busy with unexpected workloads, etc, to basically convert our accounts to free accounts for that period of time. We reap none of the benefits of paid account, therefore we don't lose that valuable time we paid good money for.

Vacation mode should not be limited by any period of time, the passive advancemnts should be allowed to be set as one desires just as trid said, and this mode should be implemented as soon as posible, i am surprised this game doesn't have a vacation mode yet... also standard - premium accounts should be blocked untill the next logging in, not until max RRT is achieved.

An issue with some people with this idea is using paid alts as storage and taking advantage of this and keeping Glitchy from making money. You'd have to make the alt paid sooner or later so thats still business.

Also, There can easily be set limits.

Say if you log in while vacation mode was toggled that would of course bypass the mode and set you back into burning your regular account time. After that happens implement a timer on when the vacation mode can be set again, ie 3 days a week a month etc.

OR Make it upon breaking vacation mode, either a paid purchase ( TC whatnot) or a certain amount of gold is required to reinstate vacation mode. Gold reinstatement can easily work like redistributing stats where the fee increases each time the vacation mode is 'broken'

I agree with that Mel. Also, there could be one of several sets of restrictions:

Complete account freeze with no rt gains, no passive experience gains, no account burning, without the restrictions you suggested.

OR

A semi-freeze, merely turning off standard/premium account, with the same passive exp gains and rt gains as a free account, with the restrictions you suggested.

Restrictions would be in place for those who would use the paid alts as storage units. rt and passive is not what matters to them. it would be a perma-account bank basically.

I see. You're right. So the complete account freeze would fix nothing. So we're back to the original suggestion, with one of the restrictions you suggested. Who supports it?

If you are in need of getting vacation in a hurry what you really need is to keep your account time, so I do agree you should just keep the same passive gains as if you were non-paid. Why not more if you are standard/premium? cause then you would have a permanent increased great passive gain for no money.

Vacation time should be limited on the minimum days, not the maximum. There might be a situation taking you a month off or more. If you only need a couple days it shouldnt be a problem, spend some rrt and let it refill. I think at least 3 to 5 days should be minimum.

Important to prevent abuse, and only way to do is is with a charge for going on vacation, probably gold fee that raises as you take more vacations, and probably you have to wait at least,, hmmm.. a month maybe? for getting on vacation again.

Another thing.. if you are in vacation you should not be able to log, or at least not able to trade (in case auctioning while logged off is implemented)

as long as there are still time restrictions between uses, otherwise you could still use it for storage of items with infinite account time

I agree with Mel on this, make it an upgrade option so that anyone that has it had to pay for it.

LOL btw make the upgrade the same as the others which can be paid for with a certain number of Time Cards, like 11 for Accel or the 10 for prem. option and so on.

No matter what this should become an option for all nod players to be able to use whether its a pay by gold each time to activate or another upgrade option. It should not have taken this long already for something that should have been implemented back almost 2 years ago, lets keep this thread bumped until Glitchless takes notice (or one of the Glitchless game/forum trolls)

I have to disagree with the make it a paid option, though the rest are cool. If some low level new guy needs to take a vacation and has no TC's or not enough fold, what does he do? As far as all the other ideas they are great, but we need a vacation mode asap. I play some games where you go in vacation for a minimum 3 days and you get auto logged off and only when you log in next time vacation mode is deactivated and you can't turn it back on untill 3 days later. this should be done in nod too, and i fail to see a reason why one should pay for his time off a game.

making it part of accel or grinder?? not really exploitable for storage account unless they do want to spend 55 bucks for each
