Personally, I think that it is doing just fine right now. Sure you could make it fancy with a download client but that would lose some of the current players. One of the niceties of this game is that you can play it anywhere without the need to download anything. |

Why not make it where people (if wanted to) could download a desktop icon that will start up Nodiatis in a Nodiatis window? |

For the location, enter Nodiatis - Free Online Multiplayer RPG
<- Enter the URL, not the title shown
Click Next, give it a name of your choosing, i.e. Nodiatis, and click Finish. Viola. You can change the icon for it then if you want by right-clicking the icon and clicking Properties. Then there is a 'Change Icon' button.

What would this downloadable program actually do - as opposed to the mozilla browser we use, to play Nodiatis??
 Best to all,
 Arleeya

				 Downloading
I'm not sure in reading the above if downloading would be required or not, but when making decisions like this, consider that some, like myself, play on computers owned by our employers and wouldn't download anything to continue playing. I'd personally just have move onto the next browser based game if downloading anything became required.
 Thanks

it would be like the rwk client, it would give you access to the game in a standalone client that you could change the graphics for but you could also play in a browser |

So you could actually put in different pictures with a downloadable client? |

yup, since all the graphics would be stored on your pc you would be free to modify them or change them as you please. unless they set it so it is just a client that loads the graphics from an external site which would be so utterly stupid that I can't imagine anyone doing it... but then again I have been wrong before. |

A Downloadable client is not likely to happen, regardless. Almost as easy to view the code as the Dark.jar/Dark.class, and much easier to inject your own code. The only 'safe' way to do it would be to have a shell client that allowed you to store the graphics as previously mentioned, but almost no logic in it. Too easy to abuse. |

				 This would be very helpful
If there were a client version for Nodiatis, I would be able to store most of the data on my local hard drive, while only using data to connect to the server & play. This would save a lot of data on my universal data stick, which would be a huge deal for me, as I travel often for work. Currently, the cost of actively playing in the browser while traveling has deterred me from playing as often as I'd like. I'm sure there are other people in my situation, as I work with a couple of people who would also like a client for this reason. I know a lot of time and work would go into making a client and you guys are in development for a new game, but I hope this is some food for thought and you take the request seriously. Please keep doing amazing things |
