ok today's discussion is regarding prices on tiers. So far i'm the only one with input, anyone elses input is appreciated. My prices are based on the fact that i make money on high tier ores and the lower tier ones are fairly trivial. However some people want to make gold off the lower tier stuff.. discuss,

These prices make sense, make the higher teirs 2 earn, make the lower teir 2 keep market stability. As for your stated prices, I trust in your experience in this matter, if no one whines, I consider these the set prices to adhere to. |

maybe we should find high lvl of all the resources to make a standard set of price for all ...jw flipy do you just add 500 from that point on each tier? if thats how it goes sounds even better

the list i made which is up for discussion, and i would certainly like input and some changes, is listed in order of tier. so that's the gold amount per tier without the tier number being there.

				 Tiers
I guess 5 is the suggested price for a citrine ore
10 is the suggest price for a liliac ore

 20 coal

 50 quartz...

 etc... etc... etc...

Is that your intial pricing for ores?

that's how i used to do it, any input please add.
I pulled all ores off the AH of higher tier because of tc prices and an unstable market. My price structure was always the cheapest for the most part. I was essentially ripping myself off trying to keepprices down.

I tried to look at it another way, but it is difficult to argue with your base pricing. It would be nice if there were some premium pricing on the higher end tiers... but for a start, your pricing is easy to follow. Perhaps higher mining lvl guild members, can at least consult on each tier above 20.
One question... who is actually buying these ores/geodes/ and ingots? Is there a big demand for these because of crafting? Or are there a lot of resellers? The only reason I ask, is I have tried to price along side the group, and have very little success selling. It is only when I undercut my pricing significantly that I get anything sold.

lower tiers sell well for me, i only sell stacks of 50. Geodes are for making gems or for MST on stones. ingots are for making armour or PRE on stones.
t24 ingots will sell for making 78 chests, t21 for 67's. Geodes sell to casters and gemworkers and ores sell to stonemakers.

If we add high premiums to high stones, then ingots and geodes will go evern higher... i want them all withing reach of people, but at the same time, we want to make gold for our work.

 Morning flipy,
 I used to price at 4, 8, 16, 30, 60, 115, 220, 400 ....

At the 400, our prices match up.

 My opinion on pricing :

I quite like keeping tier 1 at shop 'retail' price, it shows buyers that us miners are not out there to gouge them, but just wanting to make a reasonable return for our time.

The higher tiers (20+) are extremely difficult to price, as you have said. I will happily leave any discussion on that end of the market to more experienced people

the current prices on ah are outrageous imo... the two i have up there for 25mil are more showoff so people can see the t25 and t27 ores.

there arent really that many tier 5+ ores on AH, at least when im online, and they sell for very cheap to ridiculously expensive(tier 1 for 10 gold, t2 for 15, coal for 50+) these are jsut examples of the most expensive i found, it jsut kinda stops at jonquil, then jumps up really high tiered stuff |

I am ok for some set pricing. I would like to part of this guild. My mining is 16 and clothworking is 19. Ore, geodes, ingots, silks, thread, cloth - makers would all benifit from some standard pricing. It costs to make low level cloths... we should be able to recover our cost. I say start a new thread with the proposed prices, and I will gladly adjust mine to the new standard. |

 great..
would someone besides me and Roeth discuss what the pricing structure should be though. I would prefer having a committee over control.
