I don't know how many times I over looked it, but it finally dawned on me....

Every time combat is interrupted, by any of the team.

Nothing was changed. Maybe you entered the first fight already with a pending ability to resource.

Maybe. Doubtful - cause I know me. I watched this for an hour or more so several matches could happen. I hadn't even rebooted until now, so I can't imagine what changed. I suppose it doesn't matter now. lol
