S2 Economy - Join the community effort

So I've decided to start an effort to try and get things on S2 turned around.. first and foremost is building the economy up.

How?

At level 20 players can join Arena and have a pretty good chance of getting free tc's which can be used / encouraged to be used for Standard time which lifts restrictions on trade and opens the floodgate for building the AH econ up.

Note: if ppl on teams have opening those below 20 can even get started on this!

At this point we encourage level 20+ standard/prems to take up something (making gems, pots, weps, armor, etc) or just even sell some Trophies so there is a regular flow of items coming on the AH, and can in turn be sold and used to buy more from AH and bring the economy up.

HAVING AN ECONOMY BENEFITS EVERYONE

Lets players get better gear cheaper or things that help them succeed, and earn and the makers get profit they can use to grow their business or their equipment / or exp (via trophies) making them stronger.

Server 2 , we can do this, even with a smaller number of players we can still pull off a decent economy.


Please I encourage clan leaders and players to read this and help contribute to growing the economy, IT STARTS WITH YOU! EVERY PERSON COUNTS!

S1 does have a higher population than S2, but please refrain from the desire to categorize one server as better than the other. It is a different style of gameplay on S2, where you are more reliant on yourself, and more likely to make an impact with a small group of friends. Also, the S2 princess will have more time to commune with you on a personal level, whereas on S1 she's a bit overwhelmed.

Most people on server 1 would say this and most people on server 2 would say S2 > S1. It's kinda like choosing between your home sports team and the sports team in the next state over. Of course you're gonna choose yours.

Choosing does come down to your personality. Do you prefer to start in a highly developed world, or start in the stone ages and be one of the big things to happen.

And also, the princess probably tells her prince that he's the only guy she talks to.

Anyways...I support (I guess), but since I'm dumb when it comes to economics, can anyone briefly explain what the economics are in here?if it's about setting prices and requesting crafting, resources, etc., those pretty much established afaik.

Sox, being a high school drop out doesent mean much. If you knew a bit of history you'd know there been many high school drop outs who made more/did more then most people ever will.

Can we please turn this thread back to S2 instead of being hijacked by a ton of s1 people who as far as i know dont even play s2.. the main thing is getting an auction house established and keeping players interested over there.

well log on to s1 and you will see a ton of items listed. go on s2 and there is nothing... due to the lack of players.

I think the best thing for the newer player is allow newly created toon to possibly switch servers without having to create a new toon. maybe available to under lvl 10s? and only available to toons without tcs. unless they have purchest them not knowing the benefits of s1. vs s2.

because tbh if i was a new player and wanted to play this game i really would be disappointed with s2 due to the lack of ease to get things. on s1 currently u can buy a bc and a zc and 25 armour and the trophies to use it all for about a mil, 2 mil tops thats 5$.

on s2 u would spend 5$ and get 300k which goes no where as there is no items available due to lack of players and the craft trade.

just my opinion. ofc s2 caters to different players than s1 but i think new players should at least be able to choose before starting or a warning when clicking to create a new char on s2. just a frindly heads up saying that its a new server and has less items available currently.

This is also based of a convo i had with a new clannie on s2. who asked how old s1 was compared to s2 he was shocked when i told him.

I believe that S2 is a fresh start. I don't think many here have been playing since 2008, but back then the nod economy was very rudimentary. ZSC costed 8-10 TCs each, BCs cost ~5 TCs and the likes. We never had opportunity to get them crafted, because dusts weren't highly available. People bought TCs in more or less the same quantity than they do now.
If S2 is a fresh start, all you can do is get more players. Also, EVERYONE MUST STOP COMPARING the two servers and understand that this is a mirror of what S1 was in its early days.
I believe the S1-S2 chat crossover was a bad idea. It disheartens new players from playing in S2 (I think) because S1 is far more lucrative than S2 will be (will take years to get where S1 is, frankly) Complete serapation is what is needed if S2 needs to advance faster, which I believe requires some sort of differentiation from S1. I think LG beast/Arena should drop different LGs in either server... To maintain some form of uniqueness and attraction, otherwise I think its a waste to go the other side. Honestly.
Except for the ego that comes with getting in first position in S2, why will anyone invest more TCs thereby more $$$ in S2 when they can get much more done in S1 with the same amount of money?

I agree on making s2 more different from s1. would most likely attract more players from s1 aswell if its different enough.

Well, now it makes sense.Even tho there are certain players who do craft and post trophies.The problem is indeed the number of those players, as first you need to catch them, and then (usually) pm them.
