The game we love and adore
(I've been playing Nod for a long time. I've made a lot of good friends, and some not so good ones. This might just be a rambley post and not sure if it fits in this thread but it is technically about the game so.  )
I took a long break from Nod. There was a long time where all the faces I knew just were silent farmers or just stopped logging as well. I've recently come back to a slew of new things and a bunch of old faces! It's really cool and nice to be back. However some things just don't feel right.
PvP. The PvP aspect of nod has become really stale. There are no true wars, PK's are few and far between no more hunters, and arena has seem to become the same top 3 teams fighting each other and the rest random afk groups purely for bonus. I am not sure how to really fix this. I don't have any true suggestions yet, but it is rather sad to see because the thrill of hunting pk's or going on clan hunts was awesome before. Input on this subject alone would be amazing, having a discussion about what we can do to increase the actual PvP that happens in game.
On that note another thing that bugs me is the lack of activity on the forums. The playerbase used to have A LOT to talk about, and now it seems only a few in the game actually make it to the forums to suggest anything. Maybe some sort of initiative to get people to actually visit forums would be cool. Again not sure what can be done about this, but I'm putting this out there and am more than happy to have a discussion on the it.
Which brings me to my final point- Glitchy to playerbase interaction. One of the reasons I stuck around Nod so much was the interaction between the Glitchless team and the playerbase. Now it is discouraging to see hardly any replies to forums posts, and since I've been back I've only seen 'Glitchless' actively talk in game once. We used to have storytimes, or random snarks and quips frequently. And I haven't been seeing that. Granted I've only been back for about 2 weeks but I'd really like to see more of that interaction again. Even a quick "yes,no,maybe" On suggested ideas or a quick "Daer sucks" In game chat would be nice.
I would love input, discussions what have you. What do you miss from Nodiatis? What do you think can be improved? What do you love about it and hope never changes?

i agree for arena point a bit. top 10 is a joke these days. there's a top 5 generally. then some people who got lucky there are no other strong teams.
think nemesiss is the only player that can still count as a pk hunter. :{ he's sure been busy these last few months...what with the only cap pk in the game being his clannie...
forums is pretty stale these last few months. i miss banndintheusa :{ he made forums so heated that it was getting dozens of posts a day.
glitch talking outside of maybe a response for standalone client is yeah pretty rare. and the times he does do a joke it gets taken the wrong way sometimes to further discourage it. like glitch calling tharkas a noob but tharkas taking it offensively unlike if another player had of called him one.
clan wars not happening i kinda enjoy. there is literally 0 point to clan battle for the top clans except ***** and giggles. without a way to use our massive amounts of dom/terr (max terr required is iirc 1 mil which the 4 biggest clans got and 2 other clans are in the neighborhood; max dom i think is 10mil...which makes the other 93,000,000 loony has...worth jack squat)
implementing some use for dom/terr either in r7 runes or maybe some new clan bonus going beyond runes would make clan battles more likely. otherwise only the medium clans would bother.
also on an unrelated note :{ the maliciously innocent part of the sig is op.

All good points.
We're open to suggestions about spicing up real pvp (as opposed to clan wars).
For clan wars, a completely different system for gaining dominance and territory would be best. Siegecraft is what we're calling our loose idea of an alternative. We still have to prioritize our commitment to get the Android and iOS apps out, however.

Thank you sooo much for your reply. I'm sorry I am overly annoying about it as you're busy doing stuff in the background. But it really helps to know that you are at least hearing us even if you can't give a full answer at the time.
I think I'll need more time/ input from others for spicing up PvP. I've thought about maybe letting people force duels etc, but that would take out any reason to go pk aside from being able to steal/destroy items. It seems that a lot has stagnated and people refuse to take any risk without huge reward. I miss the feeling of being stalked in combat.
Maybe a bounty system? Players can enter a queue sort of like arena. Anyone in that queue has a chance of become the 'wanted player'. Once the 'wanted player' is chosen a bounty is put out and anyone who was in that queue has a chance to find them and kill them to claim the bounty. If time runs out before the bounty is collected the wanted player would receive the bounty that was placed on their head. Of course the player who was wanted is not allowed to hide in towns. I guess there would either have to be an open bracket for levels or people would just be out of luck if the wanted player is someone who can go into areas they cant :P

Our current favorite idea for PvP fun was mentioned a while back by some players, which was an object that gave a bonus to farming or passives and could not be brought into town or logged of when carried. Players who attacked you could steal it for themselves.

You still have the issue of players exploiting the item. There are more than enough people with enough toons/alts that can use the item farm with it, trade it off. Once they get a hold of it no one will bother to hunt. Then you have the sitters, so it doesn't matter if the toon doesn't log off because someone is always playing it..
I do see how the issue of having friends exploit the bounty could be an issue, but it was the same as letting people redeem off burner alts/friends chars they didn't care about.
I'd say let it so only warring factions could hunt for the bounty, bot most people have alts in the opposing faction. I'm not sure there is anything you can do to stop friends helping friends in pvp tbh...

You could always make it only active for 30 mins rrt at a time and to renew the 30 mins they have to kill someone else but have the kill message displayed globally like for pks
this would allow people who were hunting a chance to find the person and have a go at killing them if they wanted the item for themselves, also have a 30 min cd period between forcing fights if you die in a fight or make the person killing for the item have a 5 min period before the message is spread globally but not if they already have the item and are killing people
could also make the item gain in power with every lets say 5 kills within the 30 mins by a small %

I hate the cooldown timer on forcing fights. One of my fave things to do when CB's were legitimate were hunt people and stop them from farming.
If someone has a bounty on them, Make it like old time pk where they can't chat, so they can't give up their position. Once they become 'wanted' port them in some random location
Could also do a king of the hill, whoever is on this spot longest in x amount f time gets a farming bonus whatever. Whether it be a random location or a queue and spawn somewhere.
