What is happening: He can throw his thraki bow instead of his axe and it's really easy to hit the wood.

I remember there used to be a bug like this for mining, if you reloaded the window with the resourcing screen up it would sometimes let you throw charred daggers. Was there a window reload involved?

Yea 99% of all archery instructors advise you not use your bow like an axe to collect wood.
